I know what logic you are implying, but it does not work here. A lot of QBs (GT) have high passing rating, because they run the ball very succesfully and can throw play-actions. GT gets a lot of guys completely wide open off of their running game and scheme. VT is a pro style offense. Usually when Taylor is passing, he is in the shotgun. The Hokies do not get a lot of easy passing yards off of easy play-action passes.

He actually has the 6th highest passer rating. Have you watched him lately? He has made some very impressive throws in tight coverage this year.

Shabutie97, Taylor is such a high rated passer because he doesn't throw the ball much. His passer rating would be dogshit if he threw the ball as much as a guy like Colt McCoy or Jimmy Clausen.

I know what logic you are implying, but it does not work here. A lot of QBs (GT) have high passing rating, because they run the ball very succesfully and can throw play-actions. GT gets a lot of guys completely wide open off of their running game and scheme. VT is a pro style offense. Usually when Taylor is passing, he is in the shotgun. The Hokies do not get a lot of easy passing yards off of easy play-action passes.

um no thats wrong. He may not pass alot. But if he sn't good. Those few attempt would be bad. He's not an amazing passer but this year he's improved greatly.

you forget that usc played at virginia and crushed them.. they also beat virginia tech too. you forgot they've beaten almost every team from the big ten and theyve got a couple wins over sec and big 12 teams in the last frew years. not saying usc is perfect but they win games that you choose to forget about. =)

USC was aided by the worst offensive interferance call that changed the all the momentum of the game. VT's youngest team almost beat the best USC team in history.

You said you are a USC fan earlier, but you actually like Nebraska. VT beat Nebraska because they are a better team in every aspect. Nebraska got beat by a team that was not playing well at the time at home. The Hokies also had a much younger team. The call in the Nebraska game was not bullshit and we were winning regardless. The USC game EVERYONE said was a horrid call. We were up 14-10 about to make it 21-10 and instead we had to punt. Much bigger difference. You are a nerd.

Michael Vick is a better Qb than Vince Young, it's not even debateable, if you look at what they did in the NFL and not what VY did in one game against USC. VY has more picks than touchdowns, and Mike has never had a season with more picks than touchdowns.

Dude, our team is very young, and UM's is not all freshmen! Unfortunately for your Canes, the choke job they pulled cost them a lot more than any of VT's losses. I wouldn't call our losses to UM or ECU a choke job because it didn't cost us anything. We're still playing in the ACCCG, but nice try! You're kinda missing the point of what a "choke job" is.
