VERIFIED BULLSHIT. Anyone who has done this race knows it ALWAYS says "FINISH" when you cross the line, this doesn't. Which means this isn't legit A8 with stock F430. It's either tuned, or arcade mode. We all know the F430 doesn't pass the Ford GT and GTR with such ease.
@kronzzzzzz i Have to laugh at all the people who think i somehow faked this video. Why on earth would i do that? The reason why you don't see finish is because after i finished the race, i saved the replay. Then i loaded the replay and recorded.
The most likely reason some of you believe its bs is probably because this was done when gt5 prologue was released. Since then they have had updated releases. I believe spec 3 adjusted the difficulty to all events, so most likely they altered this. QQ

Not only that, but I've exited the horse shoe chicane in 3rd place about that same distance behind the 2nd place car, and the factory F430 just doesn't have the hp to run down and blow bye both cars like that!
these vids were there to help ppl get gold, i think majority are struggling on standard and this vid will help them, those who are trying on pro will most likely know what to do already, some maybe just have difficulty doing it.
its the same race just requires more skill on pro, which cant be learnt from watching a video =P

Can you do a video whilst in automatic mode? It feels very un-natural for me in manual mode and I've beat every other race in auto so I'm totally reliant on it.
sry i dont play gt5 anymore, manual is faster and will help u get that extra bit of time if ur struggling. i suggest trying to learn it, it may be a bit awkward at 1st but soon u will do it naturally without thinking much. once u got used to it u wont need to look at what gear ur in/ what revs ect u can just determine from sound from engine
I've tried a hundred times and can't do better than 6th...HELP!!! I'm very frustrated and annoyed. It's too hard! I can't enjoy GT5 if it's impossible for me to progress.
hi, yes this is a difficult race if u want to do it cleanly. first make sure u are using manual gears with traction control, ASM and steering aid turned off and race in standard mode. whilst racing u need to slipstream as much as possible and dont change up a gear till u reached red.
the next bit just takes practice and a lot of restarts. by looking at the video watch what gears i take corners, when i brake, and accelerate and by how much etc. try to be in same position as me at each corner
the ai does the same thing every lap and so u soon pick up what they going to do after a few restarts. the 1st corner is quite difficult, try to enter the corner from wide right and go up the inside of the 430 and db9. then once u have got same/ similar position to me after 1st corner try and do the same for the 2nd, and then the 3rd etc. like i said will take a few restarts.
of course if still having trouble then there are many other a-8 videos showing u how to complete via ramming ai or driving through the pit lane etc. this will enable you to progress with the game and then can come back and do it properly later. good luck

Do you use the steering wheel, or the regular PS3 controller.
I just suck that bad to not be able to complete the F430 race and the on after that with the controller.
Also, how do you arrange you driving options, I need to be sure so I don't mess up... Once again.

I always get 2nd on this one using auto gears. That 1st place so dam illusive. The nearest I got to him was .02 of a second behind the guy.

sry missed ur comment before. this was in standard mode for the replay, using manual with all assists off. car is standard.
dont really know what to suggest, just make sure u slipstream and try to be at certain positions at certain places throught the race.
