Well...the race wasn't stock for stock. I have a stock E36 M3 and i've raced a stock 2007 Mustang GT. The Mustang is a hair faster in just about every situation. But I nudged ahead of him *slightly* from a 40MPH roll. Generally, stock for stock, the Mustang will win. And E36 M3's aren't cheap to mod past an extra 20-30HP.

I'd like to see some stock for stock runs against these 2 cars, as people don't seem to believe the E36 can keep up.

i took an E46 M3 when my 07 GT was stock. Look the M3's got more horsepower but NO TORQUE. its torque that moves the car and horsepower that sustains that movement. Yes an M3 will kill a mustang around corners because it was built for that but in a straight up drag race the GT will take it any day
