Tai Sigung Ch'ang Tung Sheng was a great fighter. Goodluck finding video of him kicking someones ass. Most fights were not recorded with video until around the 70s. He fought many people of different styles. Saying Shuai Chiao sucks is a wrong term because it doesnt. It is one of the oldest art styles and is still around for a reason. It works. I'm sure BJJ works but its all about the fighter not the style. I'm honored to be in Tai Sigung Ch'angs Lineage.

Taiji was considered as a basic training by Shuaijiao experts in Chang's generation. In Man Baozhen's book in Shuaijiao he included the oldest Taiji form, the 13 Forms, as the summarization form of training. This book was published in 1981 and out of print now. Still the best book in Shuaijiao.

Chang Tung-sheng's abilities were proven in real battles as well as competitions. He was more of a practical person a real and to the point type that did not play parlor trickswith students whom let them win. But he was also fond of saying there is plenty of sky for us all to stand under. If anyone should ever want to play and show us why our Tai Chi is all wrong, you are always welcome to find his students all over the world to play with we all love challengers. It helps us all to learn!

He was the man who comes once every 500 years. If you can not see what each and ever tiny movement is designed for you would never be able to adapt this to hard and throwing styles. Both GM Chicoine and Sifu Allen know this form,as do alot of people who studied under them and GM Chang. Daniel Weng,and alot of the people that split from the ISCA are teaching this.I learned the form from a former disciple student of Chicoine and who recieved his black sash from Gm Chang.

I know that Master Frank Demaria was an adopted son of Changs and his lineage, included my first teacher sifu Eric Sparge. There is also a man named david lin/lynn? out of atlanta who does Changs Shaui Jiao and possibly the tai chi form. Check out the ACCS website to see Grandmaster Demarias'take on it.

Further Where are the principles broken? Is he looking down? His body may not look upright, but where is there a break from head to sacrum? Is he stiff? Are his waist movements stiff or free? Does he have a clear weighting? His movements are connected.

It is a modified Yang style that emphasizes throwing and Draws on Chang's extensive and unparalleled Shuai Jiao knowledge.
