Are you left handed?? thanks to you i will now be looking one eye at the screen and once eye at the keyboard. I have noticed that I equally distribute the typing responsibilities soley on me left/right index and thumb. although the thumb usually only gets space bar action....thanks for bringing this to my attentio ;)
I mostly do drafting work. My right hand uses the mouse and one finger on my left hand does the key strokes. I use customised macros and function keys (I have 30 to play with). To shortcut commands I hit one letter multiple times.
eg. c=cut cc=circle ccc=change etc.
This way all I need is one finger but curiously I use my middle finger.
When typing with both hands (like right now) I use the middle fingers from both hands. So I'll see your monster and raise you one creep.
I type the same way you do, but in opposite. I type using multiple fingers of my left hand but use one finger with my right hand. I developed the style in high school office machine class and it has developed into my style of typing. I'm left-handed, so maybe the dominant hand has something to do with it?
Hunt & Peck method.
