@Jinjadkp Cool! I've been both Flight- and Simracing for years and years, but I've always used my pedals using the combined Throttle / Brake axis as rudder when flying..
Could you please point me in the direction of this software, as it's quite uncomfy trying to wrap you leg around the joystick, and then back onto the brake again!
The shaking is cool - you have a ButtKicker in your setup?
Love the software - just bought it a week ago together with some mates - we've been flying it like madmen for the last couple of days. Just did my first air refuel actually :)
Am actually going to sell this. Needs must and all with 2 kids to feed! If anyone can make me a serious offer, get in touch! (UK only for practical reasons).
@9pinkyandthebrain Hmm, I've gained woodworking skills, electronic skills in the instrument panel, it's fun, it's cheap(er than flying a real plane), and last time I checked there wasn't a flight school for military jets at my local airfield. But apart from all that yeah you make a really convincing argument. God if only you could have advised me before I *wasted* all my time!
@9pinkyandthebrain It cost probably around 6,000 bucks an hour to fly an A-10. And you act like flying a plane is easy or something. Get rid of the "and the brain" part of your name.
@Jinja2000 Sweet, thanks for the reply. Im trying to build a replica f16 pit myself and I wanna try use real MFC's instead of the thrustmaster cougars. Your setup looks excellent. do you use matrox TH2go? and do you need software to program your avionics display on the other monitors?
I'll have to upload a new video... coming back to see it, now I realize how jerky this beta-release is. The final-gold release of DCS:A-10 is silky smooth!
@lonecrow66 Whatever dude. Nice pit Jinja. Lonecrow wouldn't be able to remember the startup sequence for the jet, that's why he called you a nerd. Hell, he has a hard time using the microwave.
How much you looking for the 2 cougar mfds mate

@sparksy27 Sorry, not for sale, except the LHS console or the all-in-one 3-screen wall-mount.

Btw - those look like the G25 pedals?
MayoDK 1 month ago
@MayoDK Yes. There's a software mod so you can use them as rudder.

@MayoDK Yes, Buttkicker fitted to back of a Citroen Xsara car seat (made a bracket across the rear from cheap metal bar at B&Q.
It's a great game isn't it. Even better you have friends so you can learn the systems quicker.

You may need to update your PC's hardware now. All that super awesome screen real estate is killing your framerate. :P

wicked stuff man, how did you hook that separate monitor for your control panel screen? do you need SLI or crossfire for multiple monitors?
58jtaylor 8 months ago
@58jtaylor No need for SLI/xfire... I have an ATI 5870... One DVI is going to a TH2GO, the other DVI is going to the lower one.

@58jtaylor No SLI, just a Matrox TH2GO doing the 3 screens, with output 2 doing the bottom screen.

@JinjaAFK Thanks for the reply. TH2GO seems like the best way.

@choxor The Cougar MFDs overlaying a monitor like this are worth EVERY penny. The immersion of pressing real buttons can't be overstated.
