Lovely dogs, sorry to hear they are no longer with us.
Lost my Airedale who was 3 months shy of 16 years old just over a month ago so I know exactly how you feel. Miss my boy every day and it's not the same without having him there to greet you home everyday and entertain you in ways that only an Airedale can. They are an amazing breed and anyone thinking about getting one, if you are committed to the dog you will not find a better breed.
Wonderful dogs. We actually had a girl named Sophie as well. She passed a couple months ago. She was an elegant, smart, beautiful animal. Her partner in crime, Margot is still with us and reminds us every day why we love Airedales so much. They're incredible dogs.
Awh, I know what it's like to go through losing an Airdale.. I lost mine about 6 months back. Very sad. Now all I have left are memories and it's important to cherish them. <3
Airedales are like potato chips. You can't just have 1. I've had 3 at one time when I was single and took them everywhere with me. Sorry to hear they're gone. I know the feeling but they stay with your forever.
So very true.. My good friend Sue (also an ADT nut) said "never!" when I asked her when I would stop missing them.. Perhaps it's soon time for a new 'dale? :-)
yarrr you'll know when it's time. =) I usually get another 4 months after one is gone. It takes me a while to recover and although I think of them everyday for some reason 4 months is my average. I have a 2 year old now his name is Stanley, an 11 yr old I adopted from ATRA and a 1 year old Scotty (my first scot). Airedales and Scotties are a good match they are sooo mischevious and fun.
I started watching this and thought...gee, that place looks familar...and then looked to see who posted this video...too funny, Peter. What a DUH moment I had...I have been there!
My Scooter is an Airedale Terrier mix with "pointy ears". He has the same coloring as these Airedales but the resemblance stops there. Lovable and always following me around, he is very much a barker.
Gorgeous Airedales..I have 3 full of mischief. Even at the age of 12 with arthritis Basil is al Airedale...if you know what I mean, and as for Sybil & Hector well...
ooh i just love this video ! your airedales are so cute, both fysically and by their personality ! how old were they in this video ? the one who's at the back at first looks a bit older, and just melts my heart. :) i have an airedale who's 12 years now, and we used to have two but the younger one passed away at the age of five.

I've had airedales all of my life, since I was 8. They're so full of character and so faithful you just can't go past them. Incredible breed.

Every 3-4 months or so. But you can also do it on a daily basis.
