I could never eat pork buns ever again after watching a film about pork buns made from HUMAN MEAT! lmfao put me off one of my childhood favourites, and apparently its based off a true STORY! D: holy shit haha.
1. Asian (Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Hong Kong) 2. French 3. Italian 4. Mediterranean (fish, mussels) 5. Japanese / Korean 6. Mexican 7. American Fast food (hot dogs, hamburgers) 8. Lebanese / Arabic 9. American / Argentine Steaks 10. Balkan (chevapi, pleskavica, Greek, Serbian, Bulgarian) I am Italian and this is my list of favorite cuisine. I love it all, but if I have to choose, Asian is #1. Ciao!
I want to know how he makes char siew bao EXACTLY like those ones at time 2 mins 10 seconds into this video. I believe that the texture of those ones depend a lot on the kind of flour used - not just on how the dough is prepared.
Please be careful when eating in a hong kong resturant. It seems that if the chef is a asshole he will put pubiks hairs in your food. I was disgusted when i found a pubic hair in my noodles that appeared to be put there purposely. Check your food completely before eating and if possible watch the person who prepares it. Dont trust hong kong resturants
@shimasamba Please be careful when eating in a western Diner or restaruant run by hairy fat white men, you might encounter body hair in your soup, they also tend to not wash there hands and wipe there ass with the pancakes that they serve. Not to mention if you piss them off even slightly, they will spit in your food.
@shimasamba Sounds like you went to a shitty place. The goods ones are busy as hell, so they don't even have time to spit in your food. Maybe sweat in it :P

@KatiushaVN4 at the very bottom of China in the south. Fast place, crowded, plenty of diversity, shopping, food, etc... a wonderful place to visit and a wonderful place to live.
With assimilation of Chinese,i belive in future all of Cantonese become Han,they will not say cantonese ,and only say madarin. And cantonese's culture will be destroyed by Han,and Han will say all of inventer of cantonese is of Han.Sad story!!!
Great that you like Dim Sums. If you like to learn how to make them please have a look at my channel. I have some videos explaining how to make some dishes.
I think the dim sum in Guangzhou is better than in HK. Guangzhou is after all the capital of Cantonese culture. I had some pretty good dim sum on Shamian Dao in GZ (which is kind of a touristy spot) and it was better than the dim sum I had in Wanchai on HK island.
Of course it does vary from restaurant to restaurant, but I bet the best dim sum can be found in un-pretentious joints in the small towns of Guangdong, especially if those establishments have been around for hundreds of years.
@ChipProcessor32 The do tasty dimsum in Guanzhou..but the resturant-atmosphere is rude and rowdy, compared to Hongkong. Sorry but Im a gweilo who don t speak cantonese but I love dim sum and Hongkong..and the friendly, charming Hongkong-chinese.
Yes, For me the hongkong-chinese are are friendly, they are cruder in the PRC although there are exceptions of course, im not chinese so I do not know what they say behind my back but I prefer HK to Canton..yes
Mayby it had to do with communism, like in former soviet ubion..it took along time to establish a service culture, than hongkong who is a service society.
Also, its really not a dichotomy between the mainland and its peripheral Chinese states/cities. Keep this in mind: I would've made the same joke about Shanghainese Chinese. Then you would be hard pressed to start lambasting the PRC again.....
And it is a joke playing upon stereotypes (by definition not true, but commonly observed...). Most Chinese would just smile or chuckle, reading that comment from me. But you being a laowai, hehehe..
Don t take me wrong, Im a great admirer of chinese art, food and culture but as most gweilos not speaking mandarin/cantonese and being both clumsy and ugly as westerners usually are when coming in contact with other cultures mayby I missundestand the chinese sometimes.
Ive only been in Beijing and Guangzhou so I can not say that Im a great expert on the PRC...although been several times to Hongkong,Taipei and Singapore which before where different from the PRC but now more and more alike.
Hey man, its all good. I didn't mean to insinuate anything with your foreigner status. In fact, I am a "Laowai" myself....in America. So as a Chinese American, I don't think foreigners in China are clumsy or ugly any more than Chinese who go to the West to do business/attend school/visit etc. I do understand how difficult and rewarding it can be to immerse yourself in an almost diametric culture. That is to be commended.
LOL..chinese in the west are more polite and discreet than westerners are in Asia.
I love strolling trhrough San Francisco s China town on early mornings and afternoon,dimsum-time.
What I do n t like are the China towns in for example Jakarta,Saigon(HCM) and Kuala Lumpur..they are just awful places, dirty, overpopulated and smelly
but sometimes in the middle you find the most beautiful, old chinese temple with old buddha statues...and then we have the demolished chinatown like in Singapore.

Well this video is about Hong Kong.... seriously! and Xiao Long Bao will always be a shanghainese dish.Xiao Long Bao is just a 'dumpling' and that's the reason is still called dim sum, get the headings right " A Cantonese tradition and xiao long bao is not a cantonese tradition.
@estherliewian who give a shit to shanghainese? shanghainese is not even a word. why you hate cantonese so much? the vid is not even talking about xiao long bao. man, shanghai people are such a bunch of retards. HK culture is based on Cantonese, something wrong with that about the title of the vid? fuck you..
@why123 Is not the title the origin of Xiao Long Bao , I am just emphasizing on Xiao Long Bao .... itself that the origin come from Shangai and is Shanghainese dish. Did I say I hate cantonese so much. But "Har Kao" a.k.a Shrimp dumplings is from Hong Kong are you satisfy? and What a such an immoral person you are using F word if you are my race (Chinese). You are showing to the world that you demoralizing our race.
