  • The Beat Thang is so easy to use right out of the box. You can load from the sim cards and save to the sim cards. There are not a lot of screens you have to go thru to do whatever function you want like the other units. Load a sample wav or whatever, dial up a drum kit or pattern or song. It is straight forward.

  • I have had the MPC 1000 and 5000, this thing has got them both beat by a mile! I also had the Roland MV8800 and this thing has it beat as well and I am one big Roland fan.

    Good job!

  • @pjb213 I had an MV8800 for a bit. I found it cumbersome as hell, even with a monitor. Unless it was operator error, loading Akai, Roland etc formats were a wash..it'd just load the partials, not the programs, so may as well have loaded .wavs and rolled my own. I wanted something as easy to use as my MC-909 with more in-the-box capability. How does the BK fare on that front?

  • @cthulufunk There is no question about the Beat Thang. It is an absolute marvel right out of the box. In my opinion, the MV series or the MPC series cannot touch this thing. People can say all day long how they love their MPCs etc. but this BT is absolute hands-down the easiest to use of any of the drum or production machines. You can load with the sim cards and save to the sims card with ease. Hey, I am an old dude, if I can do it you can do it better.

  • nice man

  • Do u have tot plug in Your speaker on This machine to hear the beat

  • @GwayneBro yes

  • I hate to say it but for the price of this machine here you better off buying a MPC 500-5000 I think it got this Beat Thang beat!!! 100% dont get me wrong it sounds nice but it aint worth the value

  • @mrmrscoda Ok.. so tell me why the MPC has BT beat? A what would you pay for the BT? Personally I've never touched an MPC, never wanted too. I can take this thang with me anywhere, plug a mic in and sample anything, then bring it back to my spot (if I want) and transfer my stuff and continue working without loosing my idea LOADING SOUNDS etc. That's just me though..

  • @mrmrscoda I got a MPC 2000xl been using it for 8 years now...Dunno if this got that beat but it sure has that MPC renaissance BEAT and buried...the key is 'Stand Alone' and the MPC doesn't come preloaded. So if the price is the same as a 500, what exactly does the 500 have to compete?

  • awesome i want sooo bad lmao, oh and nice beat man!

  • Beat Thang!!! Its Comin'!!!

  • Hahaa.. Haters Smh... keep Hating!

  • Man I can't wait to get my hands on that hardware. I've got the software and it's mad!

  • when is is comin out you guys are really like a guys who owes me money and says iama get it but never do

  • Looks like a lot of fun. I kinda wanna see the sampling/chopping/assigning workflow though. That's the kind of thing that can make a big difference in the speed of the process.
