the exploding commander rule is called 'failsafe detonator'. I love it because whenever my friends chaos get close and kill him he blows up and kills all of them. plus hes usually too tough too shoot aswell so they have to assault. ^^ nice job!

sheild generators are good if your fighting enemies with AP1, AP2 and AP3 weapons.

But i also use your combination rocket pods and plasma rifles, they hit hard from a long way away.

i dont like farsight. with him, you cant have any kroot or vespid, and without them tau are pretty much f#@ked.

yea because no armour saves are really good lmao. However I dont know how the vespid play altough I hear their worse than kroot (and thats pretty hard to do).

i tend to use missile pods and plasma rifles with a targeting array. dont use burst cannons!

depends what role u giving ur battlesuits, like say u want to take and hold a position, u would want to get flamers and bust cannons to kill the infantry quickly, or if u want to be all round killer, plasma rifle and missile pods

and burst cannons are fine if you are fighting nids, though i prefer missle pods...just depends on your taste and range, and your opponent

was never that great wit basing...any tips??

take a wine cork, chop it up into smaller pieces,(careful with hobby knifes.) make sure the cork has a few sharp edges that will show on the top. use super glue for these "larger rocks" then apply elmers glue all to base for regular sand. undercoat sand and large rocks with darker color. then work your way up with lighter colors. apply flock, and paint the ring on the base.

you know for about 3 years i was all about the hammerhead, figuring i needed the mobility, victory point taking etc, etc, but the xv88 battle suit is bad ass. you can get three twinlinked rail guns in a heavy support slot for about the same price as a decked out hammerhead. i dont have any at the moment but i do plan on getting some...

xv89 battlesuit is a commander unit he is one the first commanders to fail the tau it urned out that he used to much energy in his suit then the suit literally imploded
