  • thanks for the replies

  • Why not support 3.5mm jack IR LED?

  • @Muscleduck we don't make the hardware so i couldn't answer that for you. there are benefits to not needing a jack based hardware though that are pretty easy agree with such as no line of sight needed, don't have to insert/remove hardware all of the time, etc.

  • 1) can this work on QVGA?

    2) where can i get that HW piece

    3) GJ & TY

  • If the app connects to a hardware piece, why does it need an IP address?

  • will this work with cheaper devices like this?

    store.homeseer.com/store/IP2IR---Ethernet-to-IR-Controller-Global-Cache-P964C47.aspx

  • @masaokun2 yes very soon it will.

  • So does this app use my phones IR transmitter to send commands to my tv?

  • dose the htc hd2 have ir?? i hacked it to have androied

  • why does it need our ip

  • @CrewOfMasters - there is a hardware piece that the app connects to. the hardware has an ip.

  • is this ever going to be released?

  • So what is with the IP? I'm sorry I'm probably not understanding a basic idea here, but if it uses IR why is the IP needed?

  • @Chinless50003 - there is a hardware piece that the app connects to. the hardware has an ip.

  • @Chinless50003 where do find the IP on the devices

  • @tas9195 the devices have a web page that you can log into and get the ip. some have a utility software to find them. they all typically use dhcp so you can look in your router dhcp log also to find the ip usually. finally in some cases the hardware will broadcast the ip on local network so apps can be coded to find them directly.

  • @TotalControlApp also some come hard coded to an ip from the factory and tells you in their docs.

  • Will this work with the GE Supra E-Key boxes for real estate agents?

  • @iamsteventucker i don't believe so. never had this request before. had to google what it was. there is no dongle for this one. it is a base hardware unit that really isn't carried around.
