This music somewhat reminds me of one of my happy places :) On the porch of a cabin siting back in a comfy chair looking out to a beautiful lake with a sunset with no problems nor worries in the world but only happiness
It just has this sorrowful feel to it. I don't know if it's just me, because I feel the same with many songs when others don't. I even find myself humming it when I don't even realize it!
I have some ideas for another fable game, a fable game about the old albion, where dragons and mages ruled the land, with more woods and more kind of creatures, where instead of killing gnomes and gargoyles you have to kill trolls and rescue kids frome a hobbe cave, or save a town killing the white balverine. I used to like more the old fable, and i wanna see what happened before that, before jack of blades was born. Sry for my english.
Ahhh, Bower Lake... From the moment I stepped out of the creeky wooden gate of the Gypsy Camp, I knew Fable II was going to be an unforgettable experience. The beautiful bending of grass as I tread through it with my faithful dog and the sunshine reflecting off of it, the sound of birds fluttering by, and just looking out at the lake itself and seeing the water dance with the light from the sun... I knew it was going to be an incredible and rewarding adventure. And it was.
For the love ot god, you people shut up about fable 2 and 3 and just start playing fable: TLC.
I'm sick and tired of ppl saying that fable 2 was good and fable 3 sucked. YES fable 3 sucked badly, but dudes..... fable 2 is NOTHING compared to fable: TLC.
tbh everybody here who hasn't played fable:TLC well you did play fable 2 I for one consider a noob.
I thought Fable 2 was spot on with it's story telling, setting, lore and music. All they needed to clean up was their combat and give the game's gameplay a little edge and difficulty. But Fable III didn't fix any of the problems in Fable II and replaced this fairy tale world with industrial shit. I mean it's a good idea but NOT for Fable. Oh and for the Icing on the cake they just re-used most of the music. At least it had a commical side to it, second funniest game I played (1st being portal 2)
@CopsAreFaggots i'm like SO agreed with u... the gameplay and all was too diffrent at the third game! i wished a fable2like game... (cuz i haven't played the first one yet) but man i was dissapointed...
I think I miss games like Fable 1. Where things are simple. The bad guy wears a hood or mask & has an evil voice/laugh. The rise to power is rewarding, and the face-off with the boss at the end is met with a game-breaking reward for getting so far. A tough decision or two along the way, and enough character development to make a person think twice before making those decisions. I will always enjoy the rise from obscurity to a character who shapes the world.
@jappie96 I with you BUT i think that it's hard too say that a Fable-game in general is "bad" or "not so good"
But I think you're right BECAUSE Fable 2 is more atmospheric, but when you have played Fable, then playing Fable 2 with it's small but droping-a-tear-in-my-eye-Details and THEN playing Fable 3, it's perfect ^^
@ultimedman It was just more...Fable :s Fable 3 didn't gave me the feeling i had with the other two. The other two were more magical, like in a fairytale. Fable 3 was too 'serious' and they took out a lot of cool things like spells and wonderful music. Hope the next one's better ;)
I really enjoyed Fable 3. That said, by going so far into the future, I think they lost a lot of that charm the first two had. It doesn't feel like a fable anymore. While the steampunk feel was cool, I really liked the old, well, fable-y atmosphere of the second. I hope if they make another one, they make it in the past.
I've come REALLY late to Fable II (borrowed it from a friend last week), but I was just enthralled by this song when I first heard it - I ran around Bower Lake with my dog for a couple hours, exploring the ruins, finding treasure, and just generally meandering before doing the tomb quest just so I could listen to this theme. Every game has a moment that makes me love it - that was it for Fable II. Love this game, wish I had more time to play it! Darn school!
omfg... it's so awesome... I always have to think about when I played it the first time. I love medieval. And this game is so fucking great. I just love fable.
@slamfish2010 The orchestral score was composed by Russell Shaw with Danny Elfman assisting on the theme. He only assisted on the"Fable Theme" and "Wraithmarsh", I love danny elfman's work but it's lame he get's most of the credit for the ost.
@gearlockT yeah i just researched that^^ but we have to admit by looking on what he achieved and where he had his hands on.... this dude is brilliant...hes not human anymore^^
I love this song, but it always reminds me of........the endless......way too easy......mindless droves of BANDITS.....no......more......BANDIIIITTTSSS!!!!!!
I think Fable TLC was the best game sheerly because of the Fantasy element it incorporated with the player. I think Fable 2 was better on the storytelling, musical, and scenery angle and upgraded and simplified what Fable had to offer. Fable 3 might as well have been a Fable 2 expansion (they recycled a few songs from Fable 2).
*spoiler question* does anyone know if its possible to see rose again once you bring everyone back to life? you get that letter but is that it? im disappointed if you cant, but oh well
@Xboxgamer242 thats all you get :( lion head had such a good thing going and a great storyline laid out for the future. Then they ruined it. fable 3 storyline was not good. overall one of the biggest disapointments of my life :'(
I adored Fable 2, I miss the surreal atmosphere, charm, and hidden beauty. I also loved the mysterious tone that hid throughout the game; from winter lodge to terry cotter's army. Fable 3 seemed...empty, I never once felt a connection. Then again, It could be possible that my expectations were unrealistic. Also, losing my dog crushed me! Anyone else feel like crap when you first discovered your dogs grave?
I wanted him back but then I wanted the people in the Spire to be saved so I choose the Spire one instead. Now running around Albion is eerily quiet without my dog panting or barking or growling by my side. And Bower Lake was where I first played fetch with him. @FinalFantasyLov3r124 You know you can actually bring your dog back to life after yo make that decision in the spire, but to do that you have to buy the Knothole Island DLC which costs 800 MS points if my memory is correct and once you've done that you can find him in one of the crypts at the graveyard.
@NorthernerMatty123 No it's not my Xbox it's my sisters boyfriends one (we just all share it). And we can't afford any Microsoft points at the moment.
This song is really beautiful but it doesn't play with all that volume like on this video...
If I turn music sound to maximum and my tv volume up, its nice... but whenever I get into battle, the music played while on the battle is waaay higher than the bower lake soundtrack.. so it almost explodes my head.
Is that from the game?
I mean.... the volume difference between those tracks?
"I may not be the richest man in Albion, nor am I the most powerful. My wealth lies in higher places, and is not measured in gold coins, but in the memories of others. I have loved, I have lost. I have saved lives, and I have changed them. I laughed, and cried. I fought and won. In the end, what matters most in a man's life is not his money, or his clothing, or his estate- those will disappear with time. What matters most is that I will forever be a Hero to others." <3
@EvilKingBoo Ha, I didn't write it. I found it on a blog ages ago, on tumblr and saved it. Me personally? I have the high score for things stolen and ranged kills. XD
rolling hills that dwell undermost, stand family cliffs of sun-reflecting orange beauty, And in the far distant, at the foot of the mountains, dwell a small, peaceful lake; the size of a puddle it looks from so afar, reflecting like a mirror, the light of the setting sun; A dazzling glow of gold and orange. A white stream winds through the hills below, and spills into the glowing lake.
I find myself an old, bearded man perched ever so calmly on a wooden rocking chair, which is mounted upon my porch-deck in front of my cliff-top cabin. I sit and live alone, gently smoking a long reed pipe, and gazing reminiscently over the rolling hills that lye ever so beautifully under my cozy home. It is sundown. To the far west, in the distant, stand snow capped mountains. The champagne/ sherbet sky projects over the mountaintops and burns into the clouds with magnificent color. Among the
I cryed when my Sister died and then to make things just worst i had to see my dog die as well Damnit way does every thing happin to the Heros ? is being a hero worth it in the end ? knowing all the bad things you killed want revenge on your love ones.. For me its not worth it...
People complaining about spoilers... please... you know in videos about games there'll be spoilers in the comments. Just don't read the comments and pay attention to the music or video.
Reminds me of a song from World of Warcraft. It's played in Northrend somewhere - can't pinpoint it specifically though. Lemme check the WoW folder :
UPDATE:- It's called the spirit of Northrend or something, there are about 5 similar versions of it. I believe it's played randomly while your in Northrend.
When your dog dies, my god. It made killing Lucien all the better. Then when Knothole Island came out, I didn't have to worry about feeling guilty for choosing the 1,000,000 dollars over the dog.
I have to say, when Walter died in Fable 3, I loved the old sod but I wasn't as emotionally attached as I was when your dog dies in Fable 2.When my dog died in fable 2, I have to admit I shouted "NOOOOOOOOOO!" and got chocked up and started tearing up after I picked "Sacrifice" and my bud wasn't there. I immediately ran out and bought platnium hits so I could pick sacrifice and get my dog back too. Never the less, I love all 3 Fable games and think they all are epic.
I want everyones opinion. Which one did you like more? Fable 2 or Fable 3? And reason with it. I love them both, but I would have to say Fable 2. Fable 3 just seem so linear and smaller then Fable 3. The graphics were absolutaly amazing though and art style in 3. Idk they are both good. Got more emotionally attached in 2 also
@Xboxgamer242 I definitly say Fable 2. Imo Fable 3 really like, yh, just sucked balls the story was somewhat shit and I really didn't like the XP system (road to rule stuff). I also got more emotionally attached to Fable 2 cause it had a story, Fable 3 is like really to the face it gives you a feeling that you have no time do to fun stuff like side quests and making a family and stuff. Just my opinion though :)
@Xboxgamer242 I got emotionally attached in 2. Fable 2 was bigger, more options for customization, more locations. 2 also still had the magical feel that 1 had. Fable 3 is stripped of that and it was like they rushed threw it like there was no pride in making it and dont even get me started on the large amount of glitches in 3. Mine is Fable 2 because of the options for customization. Seriously where in 3 am I going to get a white husky with a spiked collar? :P
@Xboxgamer242 I think fable3 is pretty good, but I feel like they didn't put as much effort in at as the first two, and I also got a feeling like the game got rushed when they were making it...
@pinneapple69 Thats like hoping that square enix remakes FF7, Its a wonderful thought and would be such a great remake but 10-1 it wont happen. Im with you tho i wish they would.

I have saved lives, and I have changed them. I laughed, and cried. I fought and won. In the end, what matters most in a man's life is not his money, or his clothing, or his estate- those will disappear with time. What matters most is that I will forever be a Hero to others." <3

rolling hills that dwell undermost, stand family cliffs of sun-reflecting orange beauty, And in the far distant, at the foot of the mountains, dwell a small, peaceful lake; the size of a puddle it looks from so afar, reflecting like a mirror, the light of the setting sun; A dazzling glow of gold and orange.

Among the

Got more emotionally attached in 2 also
Xboxgamer242 1 year ago
@Xboxgamer242 I definitly say Fable 2. Imo Fable 3 really like, yh, just sucked balls the story was somewhat shit and I really didn't like the XP system (road to rule stuff). I also got more emotionally attached to Fable 2 cause it had a story, Fable 3 is like really to the face it gives you a feeling that you have no time do to fun stuff like side quests and making a family and stuff. Just my opinion though :)
pijlenboog23 1 year ago
@pijlenboog23 thats what I asked haha. I agree with you 100%.
Xboxgamer242 1 year ago
@Xboxgamer242 I got emotionally attached in 2. Fable 2 was bigger, more options for customization, more locations. 2 also still had the magical feel that 1 had. Fable 3 is stripped of that and it was like they rushed threw it like there was no pride in making it and dont even get me started on the large amount of glitches in 3. Mine is Fable 2 because of the options for customization. Seriously where in 3 am I going to get a white husky with a spiked collar? :P
weer390 1 year ago 2
@weer390 i totally agree with all that i got attached to 2 aswell.. there's something missing in 3
andyzdbest123456789 1 year ago 3
@Xboxgamer242 I think fable3 is pretty good, but I feel like they didn't put as much effort in at as the first two, and I also got a feeling like the game got rushed when they were making it...
