I also wanted to add how pleased I am that the remix stays rather true to the original version. Matt Pop clearly has paid a respectful tribute to Laurie Anderson's original version.

I am very critical of remixes, especially of a song I love as much as O Superman ever since I heard it for the first time in 1982. I can't listen to this enough! Again, I absolutely love it! This is a brilliant remix!

One of my FAVORITE songs ever has been awesomely remixed. I didn't think there could be a remix to the original, but here we are...a great effort. I was excited when I found the mp3 as a download. I am thrilled to hear this! I absolutely love it! Brilliant remix!

Geeze man, this is brilliant! This song was one of the early electronic songs I was exposed too in the very early 80's that spawned my love of electronic music... I'm sure I have never heard a remix of it before and I don't need to hear any others. This really feels good and true to the original.... yet it's like I am hearing it new 30 years later. Thanks!!!

What was the kick drum sample and bass sound from used here Matt?

The kick is a sample from the Depeche Mode Speak & Spell album, probably Dreaming Of Me or the Schizo Mix of Just Can't Get Enough. The bass is my beloved PPD Tritium Bass plugin, with a light phaser effect.
