Personally, I think every single Muse song sounds better live, except this one; for some unknown reason, Matt can't give the right feeling live. "No-one ever dared
To break these endless lies", that's the saddest line of the song, yet he doesn't sing it in a crying like way, like in the album.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Muse fan, and I love every song they play live, just not this one.
If u check out the Live in Astoria in 2000 i think he does it on guitar and he looks like he is trapped with his guitar and gives it alot of feeling more so towards the end. but i do agree with what u say.
I've noticed this too. I guess Sunburn just doesn't cut the live effect. Although, maybe if chords were used on the verse, and a lot of distortion on the chorus.
