I am from Nepal. we have no any oil .we are purchasing oil from India.for this huge amount of money we are paying to India .but we are not doing any alternative for this .By looking the vidio of how cuba survived Peak oil,i appreciate the eforts of cuba and her people for making independence to their country.but it is not sufficient they must invent new things which replaced peak oil and can make the electricity .

To think this film about human ingenuity is praise for the form of government in Cuba is to totally miss the the point.
To think that this film about people's resilience is about insulting the US and its "freedoms," (as some comments here seem to reflect), is to even more totally miss the point.

Much of Cuba's "misery' is the result of an economic embargo spear-headed by the United States. Absent the embargo we don't know what potential Cuba HAS.
@sierracuban We have no "freedom" in the United States. The Patriot Act, Selective Service act, the American prison system are clear indicators that America is very oppressed. America disproportionately helps out people with "white skin." Americans of color face disparities in education, health care, employment, housing and in many other sectors. No freedom of press because its corporately controlled! No freedom of assembly Occupy Oakland was shut down. America is headed on a very bad path.
