The joke though was more around the irony of terrible facial hair rather than being able to grow a mustache on command, so I think in that respect it was way different than the Stella short, and well, the armpit hair made it.

Ever read "The Hipster's Handbook" by Rabert Lanham? It has great descriptions of various hipster habits, including a glossary. If you're looking for more than just hipsters, try "Food Court Druids, Cherohonkees, and Other Creatures Unique to the Republic" by Robert Lanham; it's even better than the handbook.
