I had the pleasure of meeting Al Di Meola once years ago at a recording studio my friend owned.. Mr Di Meola and I had the same interests at the time, a love of Ovation guitars and the new MIDI technology that allowed us to drive synth sounds with our guitars. A very pleasant man to know as well as a great musician.
