I Been Diagnosed with PDD-NOS when i was 2 and the half years old. I couldn't talk when i was 5. My Autism Symptoms went milder in the overtime, and now i have Mild Form of Autism, but very smart.
Thank you all the kind words and thoughtful suggestions about vaccines and diets. We are on the path of currently finding out if he has a Mitochondrial disorder. I do feel vaccines are implicated in causation of autistic-like symptoms especially when it involves problems with the mitochondria and do feel diet is definitely important also. We struggle with him because he is such a "carb kid" and eating the right foods every day is a constant struggle.
We are doing this diet and have been able to pull our son out of this fog. When he eats something too sugary he gets reactive and by now he understands the change and can tell me he's sorry he's misbehaving but that his brain feels clogged. He is a strong advocate for his own diet now in restaurants and tells everyone what he is not allowed to eat. It's made a huge difference at school. Please consider it - We started with gluten/casein free and then went even further to GAPS.
gut and psychology diet these children have poor gut flora and are vulnerable to vaccine damage b/c their body cannot eliminate the heavy metals. Grains, sugars, casein also exacerbate the brain fog...whereas fermented foods, omega oils, bone broths help heal and seal the gut lining and help replenish the good bacteria in the gut which will improve neurological health.
Vaccinations, cause so many horrible side effects! be educated on it, You tube has so many mothers and families on here showing the adverse side effects. The metals bind to the organs of these kids, the metals, Aluminum, and Thimerisol, are still in vaccines. (including my child who is 3 and non-verbal) .... You could make your son have better strides if you'd stop gicing him the vaccinations. (vaxtruth.org) check it out. Your lil man is so cute, It hurts my heart to see kids so lost....
He has all but his 5 year boosters. We actually did an alternate vaccine schedule (one shot every 6-8 weeks). We waited until he was age 3 for his first MMR and what's interesting is his regression was the worst between the age of 3 and 5 years. We thought maybe he had LKS (Landau-Kleffner Syndrome) but his abnormal EEG did not show the slowing spike waves during sleep. We now have found his immune system is impaired and are working with a doctor to correct it.
Hi computeraspiegirl, nice to hear from you. That's great that you noticed the voice. He has extreme sound sensitivity so I'm careful how I project my voice. Do or did you ever have sound sensitivity?
So sad you had to go thru this my son only regressed the 2 words he learned all else stayed the same. Hang in there our babies are special!
