  • This gave me flashback from a dxm trip. It was so confusing that i dont remember much, but this video made me think. :)

  • cyberpunk is a nice genre to play games with, read about, and in general "visit" but I wouldn't wanna live there...

  • спасибо)

  • Lain

  • what anime is that>>?

  • The ultimate universe just collapsed around my mind as it was radiating therein.

  • should had used Some things never change, by Devo. They used this song in the Neuromancer game.

  • i think some ideas in Inception where also borrowed from Neuromancer.

  • I am becoming Mneumonoultramacroscorpoidsilicavolcanoconitrix

    x_X

Thanks for giving me all I need to know.

  • Excluding Johnny Mnemonic Where was the footage for 2:04-2:56 taken from ?

    Cheers

  • @morgs2020 Jennifer Lopez's "The Cell"

  • @closertoyou81 No way. Which bit the CG doll bit's or the floating blobs?

Great vid by the way. The other vid named neuromancer with a face in the thumbnail is good aswell

  • i forgive you for using a hard scifi of 2001 space odyssey in with cyberpunk , only because i am a fan of both

  • @jmm1233 as any "serious" sf fan should be

  • awesome job on this hahaha!

  • I own all of Gibson's works. Have you seen his interview where he discusses the future of humanity as he rides around in the back of a limo? Which is only part of the one or two hour film... I haven't watched it in a while so I can't describe it all... but if you feel the cyberpunk in you... check out a band called VNV Nation.

  • brilliant! really well made

  • AWESOME :)

  • i see lain

  • @bernardokubrick But I don't see GITS. By the way, I love SEL and Texhnolyze.

  • Wow wow wow wow!!

    Dude~! That was awesome!

  • Nine Inch Nails. Take a look to the end credits

  • what was teh last song? till the end?

  • nine inch nails is not for you . . .go and listen to your hannah montana/jonas brothers records

  • @doctorHOUSE encourage peeps to listen to better music rather than insult them. Positive criticism goes a lot farther than negative... in fact... negative usually comes back to bite you in the ass.

  • fantastic and one the trippiest yet most truthful video i have ever seen. great...!!!

  • totally explains what kind of world we

    really live in!

  • Would it be possible to get a list of the movies that are in this vid?

  • i have done it, look it upside

  • traffic, collateral, matrix, JM, total recall, existenz, 2001, ghost in the shell, some shit crap - who knows -,

  • @Allyn76 : As far as I could tell: THE 13TH FLOOR, THE MATRIX, 12 MONKEYS, JOHNNY MNEMONIC, EXISTENZE, 2001: SPACE ODYSSEY, TEXHNOLYZE, THE CELL, EVENT HORIZON.

  • Good films.

  • Nicely done. Great clip choices and cued up nicely to the music. Take a bow. ATB, Eric

  • heck yes!!!!! SERIAL EXPERIMENTS LAIN!! i was just waiting for someone to make that connection between William Gibson's Neuromancer and Lain!!! thank you!!! awesome!!

  • I would have used GITS1/2 (Innocence) sequences instead of Lain's, but some of them are great anyway. BTW the overall concept is great. Congrats!

What's he name of the main theme?

  • coool

  • word... matrix? cmon... the matrix wouldnt be without gibson.

  • Yeah, maybe the concept of "inspired by" escapes you, 'cause that's exactly what he said.

  • Thank you very much:)

  • Thank you very much. The track is form the LP "Magnetic Fields" (1981) and it's the first track of the album

  • At the beginning you used a track of Jean Michel Jarre, if I'm not mistaken, could you please tell me the title of that track.

    Thanks.

Excellent video, it would be great to have Neuromancer brought into the big screen.

  • BCI is brain/computer interface. EEG is electo encephelograph. FMRI is Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging. As for the actual details of each technology, I suggest wikipedia; youtube doesn't allow nearly enough characters per comment to explain any of them.

  • Although direct wetwiring would have higher bandwidth, it's also both dangerous and invasive. Most BCI systems on the market these days are glorified EEG machines, and so are much safer (though still dangerous). We barely know how to process the data output of EEGs aside from determining brainwave states (though we can do more interesting things with FMRI, those machines are quite noisy), so direct jacking is a while off at least for complex stuff. The upside is you can train yourself for EEG.

  • Great vid ^^

  • 2001 came out before neuromancer. But then again, so did Blade Runner -- which is often cited as being a good example of film inspired by neuromancer. In fact, gibson is quoted as saying that he rewrote a good portion of the book after seeing Blade Runner because he thought people would accuse him of plagarising it (Blade Runner has very little to do with the book it was based on, and is closer to neuromancer than to PKD's DADoES).

  • Black Rain, Strange Days, The 6th Day, The thirteenth floor, Dark City, Johny Mnemonic, Matrix, Twelve Monkeys, Lain, The Cell, Virtuosity, eXistenZ, 2001 a space odissey, Hackers, Terminator, Even Horizon.

I have done it six years ago, maybe i don't remember all the films, but i think the list is complete. Enjoy all the films, are quite good!

  • Thank you very much!

  • I like to think "Brainstorm", "Wild Palms" and "the Lawnmower Man"

should falls into your list as well

I have some of those movie trailers up if you want a see.

  • Excellent video, loved it. I'm gonna rent the one movies I haven't seen now...

  • Thank you very much

  • more CYBERPUNK!:)

  • Why do people always have their plugs in the back of the neck or other places they can't easily see or reach? It's not like having a line routed to your forearm would slow the data down. Sure it's a little more work to install but so much more convenient.

  • Your brain is not something to be trifled with, Nerojacks are hard to acess to prevent novices from trying to jack in thenmselves to untrustworthy sorces alone. Or maybe cosmeticaly, people prefer to look at faces without the impersonal machine look.

  • Great work!

  • whats the name of the song from 1:35?

  • Morphadron - R U Ready

  • great compilation... thanks.

  • GREAT WORK

  • Beautifuly done! What are the films?

  • BUf! There are a lot of. Level 13, Johnny Mnemonic, Blade Runner, 2001, Dark City, Strange Days, eXistenZ, Virtuosity, The 6th Day and many more...

  • Can you please make a full list? I love these types of films.
