The most endearing part of Star Trek and of Gene's vision is the uplifiting spirit of the future that was endowed in these episodes and these movies. The fact that we have these great characters and this great cast is really just an added bonus.
the best and most moral idealistic and loving show ever to be put on television. Created by Gene Rodenberry, Characterization create themselves within the atmosphere of HOPE.
haha if you call 1996 next gen. it was part of the 90s, he 90s was really an unreal time. never was there or will there ever be a time like it. Sadly it was the cancellation of these very shows that erupted the shit storm of crap we have today....if only they had all stuck around a little longer. Fresh prince of belair, home improvement, TNG, even entertaining B class shows. Nowadays i cant imagine sitting through a B class show. 90s wooo
I loved your clip! I like the way you put it. Starting with the theme of first contact, and when he is at the end of its first part, and starts the sentence borg, once with the picture of Captain Kirk, will begin another phase of the Next Generation. Very good! Congratulations!
Great show! I can still remember seeing the pilot episode and being absolutely excited! I love TOS and TNG. Unfortunately DS9 was boring and it went downhill from there.
The first two seasons of DS9 were as you said boring but after they got the USS Defiant things really hotted up. The Dominion war was fantastic and the battle scenes awesome.
Why is FIRST CONTACT everyone's favorite? It's terrible. The script is just plain lousy. 'Jean-Luc blow up the damn ship!' 'NNNNOOOOO!!!!'
Deanna drunk? No.
The Borg giving Data an orgasm? NO.
If the Borg can travel back in time on a whim like that, why even send a ship back to earth first? Just go back in time in your own space and mosey on up to earth and wipe it out.
Also, why the day before first contact? Why not during the 80's when everyone was too coked to notice?
ive always wanted to see that betazoid compromised. datas dream coming to fulfillment - becoming human, is quite a powerful temptation. very well exploited by that borg lady. its irrelevant what day the borg chose and why. we would have to follow the story from their pow. what counts is they were actually successful in their undertaking. "all borg"... it was the enterprise crew who had to defeat the borg and restore the time line.
and the musical score? definitely very well balanced...
I love First Contact, but you make some VERY good points that I have always wondered. I guess I have always just told myself: It's only a movie. Enjoy it for what it is.
There seems to be a clear relationship between the success of the ST mvie and the performance of the enerprise. When the enterprise kicks ass like in FC, the movie is successful. When it gets damaged or the likes, like in nemesis and generations, the movie fails. This is the way it should be, and the beautiful enetrprise should be kicking ass and not be damaged.
Absoulutely brilliant job on this, The memories are flooding back, those were good times, as my family and i would sit down everyday and watch this together, uniting us and the feelings were greata nd tears were shared, On fine day men & women will reach for the stars and find infinate wisdom, and in that wisdom will be total clarity. To reach the stars and find new worlds and new civilizatios, Peace... Patrick Stewart.
When I watched back in 1987 my first ST TNG epi, I was in Miami on Vacation (I am from Ecuador-South America) and I was already a fan of ST TOS, and I didn't hear about this series..but when I saw it..I didn't believe it!!..ST TNG was great and 4 me one of the best STAR TREK shows..the others are good but this one is special..I spent my last years in high school and my first years in the University watching their episodes!!..good memories
Thanks pal, really a great job. Besides the track named "A Good Start" was one of my favourites, I was searching its name like hell and learned by this way. Once again, thanks for this great job.
lol....in the first season Worf has a very big head...guess cu he didn't have much hair....but ya know...at th begening of this video thats not all taken from Star Trek:First Contact...thats from Star Trek:Generations than First Contact...has i cna see....thats what you did :D

man, it is a movie. If the Borg would do what you say, we wouldn´t have a story to tell. It is sci-fi, so enjoy it or leave it.
FC is one of the best Star Trek Movies ever made. :D
