I held one once too, tiny and thought it was too young to be alone. A rehab person told me that was normal and they are very small when their moms leave them.

sorry that I have someone on here that seems to leave very nasty comments to me and others that are commenting. I have blocked that user, hoping to not be bothered again. I love animals and we do not see anything wrong with helping wild animals. I actually have a pet cat squirrel that I raised from tiny baby that i have had for 7years, he is very tamed and has never tried to bite us whatsoever.so I love them all and have rehabbed a few opossum babies also.
I've rehabbed these guys for over 21 years... very gentle, shy animals. As you see you can handle them although wild, safely. Wonderful that this one was set free and not killed like so many uneducated people would have done.
Seriously, I love shooting stuff, and I hate gay ass peta members, but I can't shoot opossums... I like that they're big walking trash cans.
