@jessrocked I'm not an expert but I guess you can't see the reflection of the camera because if the angle of the wind shield. If you look closely at the video you will see reflections of the tree above the car...
@00Deific00 come on dood lol not to be mean but theres a hundred comments on here that answer that question lol its called a car mount. you can learn how to make one on youtube
what color correction did you do? I see some "crushed blacks," maybe some saturation, I don't know what else though. Looks really good. The "film look" is mainly color correction right? Personally I am more a fan of 30fps so don't try to convince me otherwise.
@from07till Its somthing you download onto your camera that makes the image "superflat" and easier to color grade and it looks great. I am making a video using it this weekend so check out my channel if you want to see an example or you could google it.
I usually edit my videos with sony vegas 7. If I use it to edit t3i film, will it lower the quality of my videos because the t3i's quality is so rich? If you think it will, do you have any recomendations on editing software for pc for free or cheap? (I like to make music videos usually)
@from07till not right, at settings you can use the auto focus while filming, but this isn't right to do. i also own a 600d. but is the footage colour corrected?
@gumbomombomombogumbo It gives you a warning and automaticly shuts down. It really depends on the outside temerature. On a hot summer day you will overheat pretty fast. (20 minutes orso??) i never had a shutdown with my 60D and i film alot.
My [Don't look into it, it's my OCD advice] I would take out the DoF[Depth of Field] shot with the key and the lock in the beginning and shoot it normal. I would have had a blurred foreground at first when entering the car, and when the thing was thrown, i would have focused on the foreground. lastly, when you were fixing the mirror I would have done the same thing, when it showed on your face I would have focused.
I think the colors are too washed out to have that "cinematic" look (especially the whites). Bringing the brightness down would help a little. I wrote that comment when I was watching the first half of the video, the second half was well colored/lighted
what brand memory card did you use? I bought a cheap 8gb Class 10 memory card but I can't shoot live video for more than 10 secs. I researched and it could probably be the memory card. So now i'm looking for a good brand memory card.
@idajene hmm. i doubt its the memory card. try turning off the "auto shutoff" option in the menu. its very unlikely after only ten secs of filming but dslrs are known to over heat but that is normally after filming long shoots
@idajene Oh i know what you're talking about. I have the PNY 8 Gb memory card and the same thing happens. That's why i'm getting a Sandisk Extreme Hd Video Card instead now. :D
@from07till I recently purchased a Rebel t3i. I have a question with the video recording function. When Im in video recording mode it cut off after approx 10 seconds.. Do you know why this is??? I would really appreciate your help.
@ChangeMuzik It might have to do with your memory card...it has to at least be class 6 from a reputable company, like Sandisk. I got a Transcend Class 10 but it did just what you're describing. I would say a class 6 or 10 from Sandisk would be fine and you will only get the "automatic stop" every once in a while. hope this helps. :)
@ChangeMuzik my T3i was doing the same thing. Go to your settings and format the card. That should fix it. It worked for me. Triciawearsboots is correct...you need to have at LEAST a class 6 SD card so the camera won't have trouble recording to it.
@from07till Hey what kind of program do you use for your videos??? especially this one? and in what rendering specs?! i use sony vegas pro 10 and learning still lol
@from07till I red I use a pinacle studio something to render in 720p (I tought of a pinnacle tv recorder or somethig that gives verry bad quality xD ) and after: because My computer runs out of floppy with full HD xD

The only downside to the Rebel T3i is that it doesn't have manuel color temp controls or midrange ISO values.
