  • hm nie mehr schuften bin so reich

  • Arwr y pentre bach ni!!!!

  • Sam Sam tan!!!!!

  • what the hell is "welsh"?

  • @neiggu It is a languge in Wales. About a few people can speak Welsh.

  • likes this

  • diolch

  • they want spongebob in welsh

heres the name spongebob trowsus sgwar

  • Gotta say it sounds so cool in welsh!

  • Shame that only English subtitles are availble when you watch Sam Tan on S4C/Clic... I moved to Wales and I'm learning Welsh. They told us to watch kids programmes with Welsh subtitles - most only have the subs in English :'(

  • @Jobizzler you should be able to get the Welsh subtitles too. I'm Welsh but don't speak (much) Welsh and my son is at a Welsh medium nursery. I watch Cyw with him and put the Welsh subtitles on (or English if I'm really struggling!). If you have Sky you press the red button and select "subtitles", and it should give you a choice of English or Welsh. HTH. Pob lwc!

  • @Jobizzler also just tried experimenting - with my handset and if you press the yellow button when the English subtitles are on it should switch to Welsh automatically.

  • The Old Welsh version came in 1985 then English in 1987 then Maygar in 1986 then Deutsch in 1984 and more

  • CGI SUCKS

AND HIT ENTERTAINMENT ARE SO STUPID I WANT TO SHOOT ALL OF THEIR STAFF WITH A SUB MACHINE GUN

  • @ilovejamsandwiches Stop arguing, you two. Welsh came first, then English.

  • @bronkle They are actually of the same period, except english has had many influences affecting how it has adapted and is spoken where as welsh is I suppose a 'purer' or more 'anachronistic' language as it has remained in more or less static form for hundreds of years (until the last century anyway). Native languages in the british isles are actually fairly close in derivation, its just when the Romans and Normans get involved things change.

  • i wonder if they make postman pat in welsh?

    pgwar pan?

  • @bronkle They do Bob the Builder! He's "Bob y Bildar"!

My 4 yo son watches Cyw (Welsh medium kids TV)

  • the old version was much better

  • and the theme song was still english in the welsh version and more in the fireman sam old version

  • in the welsh version and more the episodes were still english the titles of the episodes were still english and the dialoge languge that the narrator and the characters speak were still english in the fireman sam old version

  • @houseofnight18xx Well once you do you will vomit. Its that bad.

  • @houseofnight18xx send me a link I can't find it. And the new thomas is probably the worst of them all. Look at the new CGI movie of Thomas the Tank Engine

  • what is a cretinous moron like IronKnuckle doing here - probably playing with his little ....

  • @000ghostdog Heres some advice... If you wanted me to hear your opinion you could have REPLYED to my comment. And the reason why I was here was because I wanted to see how they changed the design of Sam. I grew up with Sam and after a while I stopped. I was brought here by nostalgia and I expressed my opinion on it and it appears that many people agree with it. I'm not saying I'm right just saying it as a fact.

... And why are you fantisizing about my dick?

  • Of course I think before I type - I don't reply to myself ! as shown below.

  • CYMRAEG FTW! sam tan is originally from wales btw, england translated it to fireman sam later on

  • SAM TAN <3

  • Some of you people are real idiots. Fireman Sam was first aired os s4c IN WELSH during 1985 and later in English throughout the United Kingdom on BBC1 in 1987.

Super ted is also from Welsh origins

  • this looks like crap mixed with crack and computers.

  • Ouch... The modelling and animations of the CG version look AWFUL... I don't mind the last version, as it was still stop-motion, but this is just yuk.

  • SAM TAN!!!!!! :O i miss this program, used to be my fav program when i was a kid :L caru ti samm :P xx

  • Sam Tan...Satan...naughty wales...

  • arddechog, da iawn. I remember when i was a kid back in the early 90's and was the highlight of my day to come home from school and watch Sam Tân, but as i remember the graphics were a little poor, but that just added to the charm.

  • Rydw i'n hoffi yr Sam Tan hen yn well :(

  • @RandomBadgerRyan a fi...

  • pmsl so funny in welsh

  • you do no this is for kids not for adults lmao

  • Sorry, but in this version, I think Sam looks like GI Joe trying to be manly.

  • sam tan wtf

  • What the fuck is this shit? This isnt Fireman sam this is evil!

  • Bendigedig XD roflmao

  • What the heck did they do to ya Sam?! You look like you were spun around until you vomited and got punched in the face by your vomit! And look at your face! Your a firefighter and you look fucking braindead! You run around like you are high and gay as fuck and you smile no matter what! You don't show any astonishment! You just stare and smile like a retard!

(The old Fireman Sam was MUCH better than this CGI bullshit!)

  • @IronKnuckleKO so true !

  • Comment removed

  • @Clusterlala Yeah and everyone else agrees (except for the kids who never saw the original show)

  • Comment removed

  • @Clusterlala Amen! and the did this to thomas the tank engine too :( RIP

  • @IronKnuckleKO

the only retard on display is you with your limited vocabulary

  • @000ghostdog ... Limited as in what? Don't respond since you are just a kid. I don't want to cause you to want to kill yourself.

  • @IronKnuckleKO So true! I made a FB page called 'Bring back the old Fireman Sam'!

  • @FloppyAndBoppy Awesome you should put a link to this fail and show how the mighty have fallen

  • fireman sam was originally welsh until the late 80's decided to put in on bbc tv as an english version.

  • DA IAWN

  • I don't live in Wales but some of my family do and I speak some Welsh. I used to watch this when we went down to visit, the old version though.

  • @flamingdudetom56 We can, but adleast 700,000 of us can speak Welsh aswell !

  • @Clusterlala yh iknow i can speak welsh

  • @Clusterlala hi luvie thanx for putitng up this video. just a while back i found out that part of my family is welsh( im biracial and i grew up not knowing that 1/2 of my family b/c of issues my parents went thorugh) and just this yr ive rly made it a point o tlearn about welsh culture and history and LANGUAGE XD idk if ppl will say i count as welsh(i do receive some neg comments when i do refer to myself as welsh)

but thanx fo rthis upload it rly helps me learn welsh a bit more :)

    xoxoKira

  • @revealtheheart If you feel your Welsh inside, or even half Welsh, then that's what you are :) I'm glad the video helped you. If you Private message me your msn, yahoo or skype address, i might be able to give you some learning tips :)

  • @flamingdudetom56 - silly, very silly...

  • @flamingdudetom56 I come from south wales where many people speak english but most of us can speak welsh aswell, i couldn't speak english myself untill i was 8

  • @flamingdudetom56 yeah and? you do realise that Fireman Sam s originally Welsh don't you. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make, but tread carefully,,,,

  • @alczyn182 look im autistic so dont be like that and i do ask a couple of questions so dont be so bitchy please

  • @flamingdudetom56 questions that really don't make any sense. Sorry about your autism, but I can't see how that is relevant to the question you asked

  • @flamingdudetom56 They do!! But they have their own language aswell! Have you ever been to Wales?!

  • whos that fat lady sorry for swearing

  • @misspretty2882 You didn't swear...

  • @TheIdentCritic ive just turned 24 so also grew up with the original, cant be beaten

  • Mae'r fersiwn hyn bach yn hoyw

  • i wonder if that little ginger rat called 'norman' is still in it, what a horrid little man.

  • mae o wedi cael ei ddifrodi efo'r animeiddio newydd ma. Dyle nhw di jyst dod fyny gyda rhaglen newydd, yn lle sboilio'r rhaglen legendary ma

  • omg this versionXD

  • NAAAAAAAA! pam manw di newid o!?

    sam tan hen dir booi:L ! x

  • Dydw i ddim yn hoffi hyn! Dwi'n hoffi sam tan hen hefyd!

  • its shit now though!

  • lol sounds german but i suppose welsh does sound german :)

  • no, you obviously haven't heard any german. English is a germanic language, which means it is german based. if you look at alot of german words and how the language works it is very similar. welsh is a celtic language, completely separate and also ancient

  • i have heard german and it sounds abit like it... im not saying it sounds like it alot but it sounds like it abit

  • @Rmg12 Although English and German grammar in terms of verbs are miles apart

  • Wow, roedd o llawer gwell o'r blaen - ddim yn ffan o'r steil newydd o animeddio mae'n rhaid i mi gyfaddef, ond ella mai nostalgia ydio!

  • @DistantDreamer93 Dwi'n cytino yn hollol, ac yn shemedig bod na ddim version hen o'r intro ar YouTube :(

  • Da iawn! Dwi'n caru sam tan!

  • My childhood ;-;

  • It's made in Wales and translated into English btw

  • wow and your existence must be to annoy everyone on this planet!

  • who did the voice for the origional stop take animation?

  • john alderton :)

  • omg they've ruined it

  • try it in german

  • AirSquirrel1:

Well to be fair, Fireman Sam was originally made by the Welsh, it's just that this new series they've made blows rocks...

  • @SirBroadsword fair enough :)

  • @AirSquirrel1 how can the Welsh made the programme worse if they originally made it? you racist bastard, I'm fed up of people comparing us to Germans..I pity your ignorance, just because you can't understand.

  • @alczyn182

it did not say you were german... its just sounds like German dialect a lot of the words sound very similar. I was not intending to offend at all - its just the welsh made a great programme but ruined it with all the CGI.

this is not a matter of race. you seem to not understand the meaning of 'race'.

Wales is part of the UK. The UK is made up of the following Saxon's, Celts, Angles and Normans. All from around europe. You obiviously don't know your history.

    Have a nice day..

  • @AirSquirrel1 what was the point in saying "sounds more like '40's germany", you're obviously referring to the Nazis. you could've just said "sounds like German"...get my point?? I know Wales is a part of the UK fool! what the Hell has that got to do with anything you or me said? And of course I know my history, Jackass- I went to school.

  • @alczyn182 plus you said "Welsh + CGI made this crap" so actually, you did not say the Welsh made a great programme and ruined it with CGI. can you see where you went wrong with the wording? Next time, just think before you type son.

  • Its cool but ill still like the old Stop Motion tecnice and not the computer animation :)

    4/5

  • CGI has ruined animation.

  • tell me about it :)

  • sams havin a tan hehehe

  • in the English one Elvis is already Welsh

  • theyre all welsh in the english one anyway.. its set in pontypandy, a fictional welsh village

  • Yes the original stop-take animation was the best and still is. CGI is totally crap and wasted and the new voice for sam is shit too. It needs to be John Sparks again. Was this the original song that was on the original one too or have they changed it as sounded diff to me, speak welsh and don't really member a lot of the words from when I was younger, so anyone know if they're still the original lyrics?

  • even fireman sam is in cgi! :(

  • they all lok like retards

  • Awesome, welsh sam.

  • You must accept my apologies, i had every intention of uploading the original version last year, but i couldn't find it.

However, we recently started clearing the house out, so as soon as i find it i will post it.

  • sounds like that soft cheese at near the end fogott name can any 1 help lol

  • Pan fydd galwad brys yn dod

Mae Sam mor brydlon ag erioed

Byth yn methu rhoi help llaw

    Byth yn methu lleddfu'r braw

    Mae'n achub pawb drwy'r fro,

    Sam, Sam Tan

    Heb unwaith fynd o'i go',

    Sam, Sam Tan

    Does neb tebyg i ti

    Arwr ein pentre bach ni

  • The old Sam Tan / Fireman Sam is SOOOO much better. And yes, the Welsh version of Fireman Sam came first...then it was translated to English.

  • im not talking about fireman sam. read my comment and if it was about beyblade then its not set in wales.

  • but wtf is a sam sam fire

  • wtf is a sam sam tan

  • umm.. no.. japanese came first. then english.

  • LOL they translated beyblade into welsh its funny as hell.

  • I think the Welsh made Fireman Sam first actually. I think so,don't quote me on that.

  • Fireman Sam is WELSH !!! You dubbed it in English, not the other way round !!!

  • Comment removed

  • They did.

  • Correct. "Sam Tan" is originally a Welsh Programme. The woman who wrote it is from Coedpoeth, near Wrexham, I think.

  • they recently put Fairly Odd Parents into Welsh (Tylwyth Od Timmy). I really want them to put SpongeBob in Welsh, that would be really popular. The only problem is that I can't think of the name...

    SpongeBob Trowsus Sgwar?

    Not brilliant, is it? Hahaha

  • Klingon - sorry, Welsh Fireman Sam eh? Worth a watch.

  • Lyrics: Pan fydd galwad brys yn dod Mae Sam mor brydlon ag erioed Byth yn methu rhoi help llaw Byth yn methu lleddfu'r braw Mae'n achub pawb drwy'r fro Sam, Sam Tân Heb unwaith fynd o'i go' Sam, Sam Tân Does neb tebyg i ti Arwr ein pentre bach ni
  • Sam Sam tan lol. I'm going to be learning Welsh soon. :D

  • I wonder if anybody can upload some of the original episodes in Welsh?

  • Awesome! Can somebody PLEASE write up the lyrics IN Welsh?

I'm a learner and would love to know, the only line I can work out is...

'Does dim tebyg i ti' - There is none like you.

  • I agree I'd LOVE to see the lyrics! I can only make out Sam Sam Tan!

  • no, just the crappy new version and the evenncrappier cg version

  • just wondering

i'm english and i would like to know howmany people speak welsh instead of english in Wales?

  • It depends what part of Wales you go to. Where i live (quite a rural area) everyone speaks Welsh, and the further north you go the more likely you are to hear the language spoken.

I have come across 2 people in my life that were not able to speak English, only Welsh.

There are over 750,000 people able to speak the language.

And seeming as by law you have to learn Welsh in Wales until your 16, just about everyone can speak a bit of the language adleast.

  • also jsut wondering, do u know the lyrics? and the translation?

  • seriously what are the lyrics?

  • I didnt know that...

  • i'm jealous of u lot u get to learn Welsh! i luv languages and i'll probably never get to learn the language :(

    do u enjoy Welsh?

  • I enjoy speaking Welsh, but still prefer speaking English cause it's an easier language!

  • Does anyone have the original Welsh theme song / episodes?

  • what was that speech bubble at the end say?

  • It says 'Thanks to everyone who watched this video'

  • thanks

  • Sigh, not many people realize the show is originally welsh.

  • what are lyrics?? I'm want to dub it into Cornish or smething like thaT

  • what are the lyrics?

  • This is the original...it's Welsh! It's made in Welsh and dubbed in English not the other way round.

  • I almost choked with laughter. What on earth was that!?

  • This version is horrible! How could they screw up fireman sam this bad?

No..it's not fireman sam, I wouldn't call it that.

  • What the hell? 3D CGI Fireman Sam???? What happened to proper classic animation?

  • this is better than english even tho i dont understand it

  • Can some one give me the lyrics to this in welsh to help my learning?

  • I CAN WATCH THIS IN ENGLISH

  • you go away for a few years and what happens they "update" one of your fav shows

  • Wyt ti efo yr un gweiddiol?

  • ok then that would be cool. how would u send ti to me?

  • can i download that theme song anywhere

  • I can send it to you if you want ?

  • can u send it 2 me
