brilliant. i have heard his name so many times, but first time hearing his vadan. he and jnan prakash ghosh have trained so many of the foremost tabl players in kolkata.
He was one of my first inspirations on tabla & i bought his record & book back in the 70's - "42 lessons on Tabla " (Folkway Records) - Shame the Lahara here is louder than the TABLA ! a very common mistake.
Very few players can touch the heart with the 1st touch of bayan. This great player did the job. Salute to the legend.
