I 've never heard this song before, I was born in Guatemala City so I guess that has a lot to do with that. When I fisrt heard it though it literally transported me more than 3,000 miles away, back to where I met the love of my life. We were just 17 then, we both married someone else, but we both never stop loving each other. He's gone for ever, but his love still lives within me.
THIS SONG IS SO MEANINGFUL TO ME BECAUSE IN 2001, AFTER A 24 YEAR HIATUS, I RE-CONTACTED AN OLD "LOVE OF MINE" FROM THE 1970'S WHEN HE WAS 23 & I, 28. WHEN MY FRIEND FINALLY CAME TO SEE ME AGAIN, TRAVELLING THE 500 MILES FOR A VISIT, I HAD PUT THIS SONG ON REPEAT, SO , WHEN WE ENTERED MY HOME, BILL WAS SINGING THIS SONG! SUCH A WARM MEMORY! BILL WROTE THIS SONG.
