Interesting trivia: Golgo's name comes from the 13th Apostle who betrayed Jesus to die on Golgatha. While I admire the badass balls to name yourself after the killer of Jesus Christ, it was Judas the 12th Apostle who betrayed him. But somehow, "Golgo 12" doesn't sound as cool.

It's great to see a reviewer that doesn't use a stupid voice or some other cheap gimmick or affectation to try to make his review stand out. Your gimmicks take some effort, thought, and planning, so kudos for that! This is a really fun, difficult game that doesn't feel like it's being unfairly difficult and you did it justice. This is a tough game to recommend to people who just want some quick, fun games for their emulators, so you did the best thing you could-- give a rundown of it.

This is my favorite review you've done. You really got a knack for this stuff. I'd heard of Golgo 13 before, and saw it a lot in old game stores real cheap. This video finally convinced me to buy it.

Just a thought, but it'd be cool if you did a review for the other Golgo 13 game on NES, The Mafat Conspiracy.

Back then, that was so badass. Imagine, I was 8 years old, playing Mario.......then BAM !!! in the face. My father was playing with it more than I did. Drawing maps and shit. WE HAD TO DRAW DAMN MAPS FOR THE MAZES !!! Brought me back nice memories, thanks for the vid.

Download the unedited version (japanese version) of this game as a ROM along with an emulator. The sex scene is more graphic (woman takes off clothes in the bedroom scene). Also, all the hitler and nazi parts of the plot as well. Now play that version and then think back how incredible this game was before it's time.

Great review, really. Got acouple of questions since you seem to know more about golgo13 then i do. I know about one live movie starring sonny chiba, its golgo13 assignment kowloon, do you know what the other live movie is called?

Also, where on earth did you get the mighty mugg? i want a duke togo also. Good videos by the way, any chance you will review the second golgo13 game?

The first Golgo 13 movie starred Ken Takakura and is called "Golgo 13" (creative, I know). As far as I know, it's not available in the US.

The Mighty Mugg is a one of a kind custom that I acquired. :) It's well made and comes with an M-16.
