  • actually it's the 90s are all that u pick with stick is where u go online and vote for the shows to watch but the regulars that I know of will be all that Doug and clarissa explains it all

  • Hell to the fucking yeah! Rugrats, Doug, Ren and Stimpy, Clarissa, Are You Afraid Of The Dark, Roundhouse and later on, The Adventures Of Pete and Pete. Favorite night of the week!

  • Nick is nothing today like it was when I was young.

  • During the school year I remember after the last SNICK show would come on for the night (followed dreadfully by a black & white episode of I Love Lucy or something), it always reminded me that this was the last night I'd get to stay up kinda late... and that tomorrow was my last weekend day... and that I was running out of time to come up with a plan as to why I hadn't shown my parents my progress report even though I got it on Friday. You know what I'm talkin about...

  • The big orange couch is back if u watch the 90s are all that block on teenick during the commercials kenan is sitting on it

  • now this whats the stuff i remember when Ren and Stimpy and phil and Lil hosted the orange couch

  • Nineteen and still remember Snick and the orange couch :) back when Saturday nights actually had some worth watching.

  • I grew up in the 90's, but I am mature enough to know that you look at things differnt and you grow older, but the stuff they have on Nick today is such crap especially the shows geared toward the 10-16 age range that even if I was a kid there is no way I would enjoy it. Nickelodean Studios is closed now and they don't have great syndicated shows like they used to, it is a shame the organization is taking such a beating today.

  • bein a 80s and 90s kid rules think about it

    power rangers - weekdays

    TGIF- fridays nites

    saturday -morning cartoons

    saturday nites - snick

what do kids have today? lol nothin

  • @adbonds2005 i agree

  • why was it called "Snick"?

  • @SpongeNickPants Saturday Night Nickeldeon.

  • They should bring back the orange couch but wait no then icarly biaotch would be on it nvm

  • @aicfreak83

Too late anyway. When they got rid of SNICK, they sold the big orange couch in an auction. =(

  • live life to the fullest, be appreciative and treasure what you have

  • i miss these days so much. saturday nights in the 90's were always packed for us kids.

  • @syxodude91 Yeah they were good times. I miss them terribly.

  • That first SNICK lineup ws definitely something special for me - it had the funniest cartoon on the planet (Ren and Stimpy), my very first crush as a young boy (Clarissa), and two other shows that I didn't care for and can't remember.

  • debuted the day i was born

  • @RyansMusicJams A GOOD fuckin sign for you, I can probably say ;)

  • Since TeeNick is bringing back some of the old '90s shows for their Midnight-2AM slot, I would love it if one of the commercials showed somebody opening up a storage locker and pulling a dusty tarp off of the couch.

  • 2 people had a shitty childhood....

  • @wembley77 i know it's been 8 months, but i just have to say Gosh I miss Pinwheel! Im 29, and just happened to be ever so lucky to catch that show right before it was canceled. I always ask my friends if they remember that show, and almost none do! I'm glad someone else out there has!

  • no lie i have a replica big orange couch in my house and no one but me sits on it lol

  • @guyofda90s where did you get it from??

  • @goolizap a friend made it 4 me before he moved to the uk

  • Man, I remember watching SNICK, playing SNES, and staying up all night. Man I miss the 90's...

  • @jenningsslayer314 word up! My bro, sis and I always looked forward to Snick. Got some popcorn and chilled all night. I remeber looking forward to Are you Afraid of the Dark. lol. They don't shows like they did back in the 90s. Nowadays the kids shows is pretty much about them plotting on getting rich and famous. Whatever happened to kids just wanting to be kids and have fun.

  • yo ima try to buy that couch on ebay lmao

  • I really hope someone has the SNICK couch and is taking excellent care of it. I'd hate to see such a huge piece of nostalgia rot in a landfill. =(

  • bring this back please snick was the shit

  • I don't know why it would be such a difficult task to bring back SNICK as its own channel, showing TV shows that only aired during the 90s. Clearly there is enough evidence in the world courtesy of Youtube, Facebook, Myspace, and everywhere else that let's whoever owns the Nickelodeon name or company or whatever that millions of people want the old Nickelodeon back. We want SNICK back. We want to relive our childhood. BRING BACK NICK AND SNICK!

  • Yea the orange couch! I was glued to the tv every Saturday night when this came on.

  • Snick was a routine every saturday in my house

  • Man Dan Schneider pretty much took over Nick.

He's like the Seth McFarlane of Nick. Has many shows and yet they are the same lazy writing.

  • SNICK was the bomb!!

  • @potterfanatic08

    I agree!!

    =D

  • I loved this! then we would watch the TRUE Nick @ Nite "I Love Lucy" "Bewtiched" ect then over to Cartoon Network for some Loony Tunes and Rock and Bullwinkle. Ah sweet childhood

  • @musicfan1107 yeah good times......good times

  • I miss this. :(

  • Comment removed

  • I don't get this new shit like big time rush, wtf is so funny bout a bunch of fairy's singing. BRING BACK PETE AND PETE!! MY BROTHER AND ME!!! SALUTE YOUR SHORTS!!!

  • @Vamm698 Ok. Not My Brother and Me...but the other stuff, yes.

  • i used to look forward to snick...when life was carefree.

  • This was a huge event every Saturday night. My sister and I would stay up "late" and eat popcorn while watching SNICK. Such a pivotal role in my childhood.

  • @musicAL722

it was! those two hours were like a party every weekend

  • Wow, this takes me back. I remember way back then, we used to have a couch similar to The big Orange Couch. All the neighbor kids would come by and watch SNICK. The best part was when Are You Afraid of The Dark would come on, we would turn off all the lights. It was spooky, and awesome! I miss the old days...

  • I'd love to get a big orange couch just like that one, put wheels and a motor on it, and just cruise around the city. I bet lots of people my age would have flashbacks upon seeing that.

  • anytime I see a snick commercial on here, I get SO sad. I remember being home saturday nights and being incredibly happy and excited as soon as the snick countdown was over and the shows started. Do you think they play snick in heaven?

  • Memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remeber this as well, ordering a pizza and watching this. Now im 62 lol just joking

  • Saturday.

  • Saturday :)

I think S meant Saturday and NICK meant, well, Nick :D - someone correct me if I'm wrong

  • Yep, your right Snick stands for Saturday Nick!!!!!!

  • O the memories of my sister and I watching this every saturday night. I miss my childhood.

  • Crazy how I go from All That, Kablaam and Are you Afraid of the Dark to girls, girls, sports...

  • all these shows make me feel so old knowing they haven't been around for years. I remember that couch<3 and, it pisses me off that they changed the Nickelodeon logo from the splat to just regular letters.

  • You know you're getting old when you remember that big orange couch!

  • *Nods* I want to find the big orange couch they used for the promos and such and buy it!!!

  • I really really miss Snick. I hate the new TEENick logo. I miss the 90's.

  • They should bring Snick back and put on that Teen Nick ch on Saturday nights! But im sure kids these days wont appreciate it...Jesus i feel so old saying that!!!

  • @dandav2003 i fell ur pain man

  • They should show some 90s shows on Nick At Nite.

  • This is why I used to love saturday nights because I always looked forward to watching snick. Now Nickelodeon is a piece of trash!

  • Who wants to bring back SNICK!!!!?

well its a online tv station wgutn, just google wgutn, and look for world global united television network, want to bring back snick on there station, but just need enough viewers, right now they show doug, angry beavers, charlie brown and snoopy show, icarly, and other nick shows, also true blood, seinfeild, martin, and even a movie of the day this station is good please support cause i wanna see snick again :)

  • kinda looked like michael jackson @ :13

  • thats not posible hes dead

  • dis was back in da 1990's babe he was very well alive

  • not anymore bc hes dead

  • and when you die i will diss you.

  • that does nt even make sense im alive stupid

  • nope you dead.

  • no im not omg!! peopl are so insensetive

  • how can dead people talk to me!!!! omg!!!! get away from ME!!!! freaking crazies!

  • omgh u need help.....

  • how can dead people tell me i need help!! ugh!!!! i guess joker didn't put a smile on you! he left you as vermin! muhahauahauahaha!!!!

  • im calling the police your creepign me out.......

  • lol.....cry cry!!

  • Im not a michael jackson fan,nor am I defending the troller. But when you make stupid comments like this and wonder why people troll you i think its funny.

  • i miss the old nikelodeon

  • Who doesn't?

  • I remember growing up on this and looking forward to Snick! I LOVED the big orange couch. :) I miss it terribly! What the heck has happened to TV?!

  • @Rini020 Amen.Snick was something both my sister and I grew up on and looked forward to every week.

I look at the trash my nephew watches now and I seriously feel bad for him. I mean with on demand, he'll never know the excitement of having to wait for your favorite shows to come on. With cartoons nearly extinct, he'll never know the classics. And with the tweenage scene dominating Disney and Nick, he'll never fully appreciate being a child.

    Snick...where have you gone?

  • @Rini020 Down the toilet :(

  • back then i watched usa and tnt on monday nights on fridays i watched abc tgif.

satureday morning i watched fox kids.

satureday evning i watched tbs wcw saturday night.

and saturday night at 8 i watched snick.

    then i would watch snl.

    and sunday night fox .

  • WOOT REN AND STIMPY that hso is halarious im 14 and it still cracks me up. Lol i remeber every parent hated it lol, But it ruled and so did snick. 90's ruled

  • this making me cry ...is it making u

  • For sure, I Miss it so much, Ima make a time machien and go back to the 90's and then mabey the 80's Loved SNICk

  • I miss the old days of Nickelodeon so much. Back when Nickelodeon wasn't PC and all of that other shit. Back when we had good shows unlike the current garbage Nickelodeon.

This decade has been shit with everything from music to movies to TV.

It makes so much sense to bring back SNICK and just replay the old damn shows. It would be far better than the current show they have on their channel but Nickelodeon would just rather bury their old great shows in the film room and show shit.

  • ha i loved this

    its hard to believe

it started at 7 nd by the time ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK came on at 9

it seemed like it was soo late

  • Yeah...nostalgic, isn't it? Seeing all of these old videos is rather bittersweet.

  • Hooray for SNICK!

  • It would be cool if SNICK became it's own TV channel today and it showed only the shows that they had on SNICK Throughout the years. It could be a pretty cool and smart idea

  • Too bad someone cool like us doesn't work for Nick or else that channel would already be on TV right now, someday my friend, we will get our Snick channel... keep the dream alive T.T

  • how bout the have a new nickelodeon and call it Retro Nick and show shows from the late 70's-90's :)

  • hell yes, I wish someone from nick would read these comments, I think so many people would love to watch this channel if they would make it, I would buy it for sure.

  • That can work too. I think it could be called that or Nick Rewind, just like the DVDs.

  • I would love all of that, but, I think, the sad truth is...we are all getting old...reminiscing about the past. Even if we could get the shows back, isn't also about that very time of life, a time that you can never get back? When I think of watching Ren and Stimpy and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, I don't just remember the shows, but the whole context of being a kid on a Saturday night. Those memories stick to these sounds and images. We all have them. That context is gone forever.

  • True, it was just a thought, I know it's probably not going to happen thanks to Viacom. However, all of the seasons of AYAOTD are on DVD in Canada, Ren and Stimpy is also on DVD, Season one of Clarissa is on DVD, but the only old Snick show thats not on DVD at the present time is Roundhouse, which was my favorite Snick/Nick of all time. Nickelodeon just isn't the same as it was before, but we get old and life goes on.

  • @Ninjaman1994 and I wish the channel would air only the TV shows Nickelodeon broadcasted from 1990-2004. Like "Kenan & Kel, "Taina", "The Brother's Garcia, and a lot of others!

  • @Ninjaman1994 I honestly don't see why the hell the networks couldn't do something great like that. And not just Snick, but Toonami and Fox Kids.

  • @Ninjaman1994

i dont think so with the morons they have running nick these days or televison for that fact

  • @KingOfRock8887 ikrr dat would be a very smart idea but yea never gunna happen all we have is memeories:/

  • they should bring back SNICK not only for us 90's kids but for the new generation of kids as well.cause i know some kids are always bored on saturday nights.

    agree anyone?

  • Classic classic stufff right here... doesn't get this good anymore. For some reason the 21st century can't quite get kids shows like the 90's did.

  • Oh MY God!! That's my shit!! The 90s were the best in terms of teen entertainment. I miss the shows that made NICK so cool to watch.

  • what ever happened to that orange couch?

  • There are people actually making a petition on line to try and bring Old Nickelodeon and Snick back!

If they re opened up Nick studios and took off the shit they have on it now and put the old school stuff back on they would be BILLION-AIRS! I want my kids to grow up with the old nickelodeon.... not the shit on now :(

  • i had an idea! nickelodeon shud have a weekend block dedicating all the old shows from the 90's.like old nicktoons on friday afternoons and saturday mornings,SNICK shows on saturday nights at 6pm.and old game shows on sunday afternoons.anyone agree?cuz SNICK SHOULD REELY BRING SNICK BACK!!

  • i miss SNICK. That was my SHIT back in the day. My friends and I would have sleep overs and stay at home just to watch SNICK. I know its sad to say but since things kids who are the i was then now dont really have anything like this anymore, they should bring it back. I feel like it kept me out of trouble when I was a kid. This is getting too long. haha BYE! <3

  • bring SNICK back, they dont have to bring all the old shows back, maybe r u afraid and all that but i just want a new SNICK for kids who didnt no wat this was

  • omg i remember this...it's all comin back 2 me!

does any1 else remember that nickelodeon corn that they used to have on all that?

  • I wish snick would be broughtback, or nick made a dedication day and show all the bumpers.

  • I remember this!!! I used to watched Snick every Saturday Night. I remember the line up when it first came on. Clarissa Explains it all, Ren & Stimpy, Round House & Are you Afraid of the Dark.

  • I wish this would come back I miss snick so much why do they take all the good stuff off from the 90's? I hate to say it buck nick sucks as of today its nothing like it was in the 90's

  • I remember Me and my sister every Saturday Night we be in the living room laying down on our blankets watching Snick. Nickelodeon in the 90s still reigns.

  • everything was better in the 90s. man i remember watching snick on saturday nights with my cousins at my nana's house

  • me 2...i had a sweet childhood. in some ways it was better than it is now @ age 19.maybe cuz back then all i had to do was sit around and watch snick and sat. morning cartoons. it was a simpler time

  • those where the days. what da hell happen to television? must they kill evrything?

  • @jjbiggs21

Two words on behalf of Nick.

    Dan Schneider.

  • @shrek187 He's the keepin Nick from goin under. Have you forgotten the great shows he's created?

  • @num1Jaysta

Well his writing sure has gone to crap after all these years.

  • thay need to bing back snick.

  • yeah they should, but it might not be as cool

  • What they need to do is put all those old snick shows onto dvd. I'm sure all us 90's kids would buy them.

  • @afrosamurai22 or create something like Boomerang that plays them 24/7 :D

  • they did it was called nicktoons network...

  • yeah. how'd that go out for them?

now nicktoons network is full of shit. seriously no more doug, hey arnold's gone on there as well, and so are all the good shows and replace them with SHIT of their own shows. more garbage fanboy and chum chum. absoute gayest show ever.

who the hell would watch ren and stimpy and rugrats at 3-6 in the fucking morning on SATURDAY'S for christ sake?

    Nick is just rubbish garbage.

  • @shadowcaster12 NickToons is still an active channel.

  • @RaynorX Yeah, I agree with that. MTV Networks should create a separate channel that airs only Nick shows from 1990-2004 like they did for NickToons.

  • @RaynorX like seriously!xD ok so they make a boomerang,,but they cnt create a god damn nick channel, with the old shows we use to watch? nd believe me theres alott of them too. if there was an old nick on tv today, it would so ownn boomerang badlyy.

  • Oh my bad. "166 hours".

  • Funny how as children we didn't nearly give justice to the advice, "believe me, you don't want to be an adult!"

Oh how I would easily give up my drivers license, car, house, and accept a curfew to be a kid and play and watch 90s Nickelodeon...

  • Count me in, man.

  • What we probably didn't bother to realize is that each one of those saturdays meant we were "116 hours and counting" to becomming adults.

  • I miss that orange couch, I really do

  • i wish i wouldve taped snick every saturday night but then again i was really young! the kids today have no idea what there missing!

  • i remeber i would have a sleep over or i will go to a sleep over every saturday ngiht and we will watch this it was fun

  • i miss these saturdays..lol

  • my and my brother use to watch this every saturday night

  • I fortunately in my youth recored two sessions of SNICK, though I did tape over one of them. I'm glad I didn't stop recording when the commericals came on, they're like a face full of nostalgia

  • MAN!!!! the retro 90s! I really miss those days, sadly enough it wasn,t that long ago.

  • The wonderful days of The Big Orange Couch are sadly long gone.... I hope most of you taped and archived your favorite SNICK shows!! I DID!

  • That's something that I wish I would've done and end up regretting! And unfortunately, thanks to that damn fiasco between Viacom and YouTube, you'll have to upload those shows to a different site which totally sucks major ass.

Mid 80s and all of the 90s were and always be known as the golden age of Disney Channel and Nickelodeon to me!

  • Brings back memories! :)
