triggers do not make you play faster, they just make your hits sound more consistant. you still need to hit the drum and you can obviously see in the video that he is using heal toe and not tapping with his pedals. and why would he need to use triggers when hes only useing one kick drum, he wouldnt.

I think you should find a way to "un-muffle" your bass a little bit. Granted, I realize it's triggered and all, but it just sounds very...confined. I think people appreciate when the bass has a little more free reign. If you get the tuning and everything right it will sound exponentially better. I think Danny Carey is a perfeect example of this. Should be some videos out there somewhere to help you on your way, if you choose to go that route. Good stuff though, man!
I think he may have chosen a more defined bass drum voice to emphasise the kicks as they're all very close together, especially the triplets in the first verse. He could easily choose a bass drum voice that was much more meaty and full if need be :)

either with great control or with a quadruple/triple pedal
when you put your foot down it plays, then when you lift it up, another beater hits the drum, so in effect from 1 foot stop you get 2 beats
although its hard to play quadruple without 2 bass drums, so i guess he is just really really fast
also quadruple bass drums are just cheap and nasty, no real skill needed to reach insane bass drum speeds
