I believe during Keith's time "Bi-Polar" wasn't discovered. It was called Manic Depression. Being bi-polar myself, I know what he must of felt like. You always have mood swings, and want too do things too "the max". I feel like Im on cocaine some days.
Hyperactive , Oh Yea ! He was also a first class nut case.,and incgredibly funny ! The "Russell Hardy Show " interview is hysterical, and a real classic ! Mooie is my favorite drummer, the ultimate showman ! I 'm a drummer, but he was my Babe Ruth ! R.I.P Dear Boy your spirit will always Rock on !
Haha I love Pete in the last few seconds. This video was originally filmed with Call Me Lightning but doesn't have the clips w/ Steve Martin ect, it was just all footage from when Keith is in the striped jacket.
yea I read somewhere else keith actually plays the tuba on thsi song other than drums, my guess is entiwste is on the horn know idea whos on trombone tho
Entwistle is playing trumpet and Daltrey plays trombone - I don't know who plays tuba (overdubbed by Entwistle?). Early on, when the Who were still the Detours, the trad jazz craze was happening in the UK, and they would actually cover a few trad tunes like The Saints (Townshend and Entwistle had first met in a trad jazz band in the late 50s). I think this song is some sort of approximation of they sounded like when playing trad jazz.

I've read Roger played the tuba, is that wrong?
Swesuburan 4 years ago
I think it's a trombone? But, yes, Roger played it. Brilliant song.

I heard that Roger played Trombone and John played tuba. Maybe, I'm wrong.
