  • songs catchy

  • lol i have both amanos and theese kind of guppys!

  • Videos with shrimp in them always have such quirky music.

  • can i ask if the shrimp help up to clean the tank? i have 5 neon and 2 guppy, thinking of getting the shrimp, but i dont know which is suitable. any ideas?

  • Whats the song called?

  • @XHORNBYX

I wish I knew. I searched everywhere for this song. It was available among free songs that YouTube provides if you want to insert a royalty free song as a background into your video. You can upload something then go into video options and choose option to find a free soundtrack. It was something by a Italian orchestra musician, but I forgot the name and still cannot find it. Even if I click on the video, it does not say what it is called. It was something like music for film

  • @XHORNBYX

One way I can suggest to find similar music like this, maybe even this one is try searching key words "Italian library" which stands for Italian Library music. It is usually collections of music that was made for tv shows, movies, and other cheesy 70s stuff in Europe and usa. Also search for album called "Barry's Connectors" ,"Luke Vibert's Nuggets", anything by Sid(Syd?) Dale. Search also for key words Amphonic and Cinemaphonic. Its all music like this.

  • @XHORNBYX

I also recommend you download or check out somewhere following albums:

    Cinemaphonic Soul Punch

    Cinemaphonic Electro Punch

Suono Libero - Trip Through the Obscure

    Music for TV Dinners

    Retro Kitsch

  • whta kind of plant is that on the left?

  • @vincescream

I actually don't know the name of this plant, but it is one of the most cheap ones that do not need much light or special CO2. It is slightly darker color than other plants. When it grows it has a lot of roots wrap around rock or wood.

  • Great quality, whats the song?

  • i just got 2 new oto catfish and tired feeding them those algae wafers and one doesn't know about it and the other is going around in circles cleaning the ground that surrounds the damn thing its so funny.

  • lol whats the tune called please tell me

  • I always thought they couldn't live together because guppies prefer higher Ph like above 7,2 where the tetra neons prefer Ph levels at 6,8 and below....

  • @MrYoucantcatchme thats what i thought ( via research)

  • can copper banded butterfly fish live with these type of neon tetras??

  • hey Can guppy and tetra live together?

  • @91sach Yes they can live together no problem once they have grown up. If either of them is small enough and another is hungry they'll eat them. Actually many small types of fish are too dumb to see who is their baby and will eat them. As grown up they're both peaceful, but there are many types of tetra some may be aggressive, the blue ones are ok.

  • @StopFear man i just bought 4 neon tetras , the banded loach killed them all , but it didn't kill my penguin tetras , strange huh

  • @StopFear their pH isn't compatible ..

  • Mute button we meet again

  • I <3 This Video

  • You have to watch those shrimps when they get a bit bigger. They'll go after your male Guppy's tails. I've had a few lose chunks out of their tails because of them.

  • Couldnt have picked a better song

  • that is a alge wafer why are your tetras eating it, tetras are meat eaters

  • @noahgabe1 then explain why they eat flakes as well -.-

  • @noahgabe1

I've never heard of Tetras being exclusively meat eaters. They'll eat whatever is around and has acceptable taste.

  • haha they look funny

  • Nice clean video for a change

  • HOW DO U EVEN FEED NEON TETRAS? every time i put fish food in it just stays at the surfacce and my tetras just sit there and die off one by one. I read online that sinking the flakes would help, but my tetras still won't eat! Now there's only 1 left. ORIGINAL ITEMS: 4 neon tetras in a 3 gallon tank. <----- I think the problem is that the tank is too small, or that the tetras are eating, it's just that I can't see it.

  • @Ilikepenguins333 that happend to mine the first 2 days, but they got better

  • @Ilikepenguins333 What are you feeding them? If it's dry flake, then they probably don't know it's food. Try some live food such as Daphnia, Bloodworms or Brine shrimp. They will instinctively go after something moving which is small enough to fit in their mouths.

  • And i think the food is a algae tablet from Hikari

  • @YellowLicous

    yes exactly

  • @StopFear hey, do you take your fish for a walk like i do on fridays? everytime i try to take them walk but they die on me for some reason please help ty :)

  • You should give them live brine shrimp ( if its not too much of a problem)

Brine shrimp are easy to feed to fish and the boost their color.

  • i just read they like vegatable food.... ?

  • whats that you are feeding them just getting my set up for Amano and Guppies now should have them in the next few days

  • @fitzcorolla they look like "fish treats" to me , or wafers

  • Simply beautiful.

  • U use oxygen or not

  • Where do you get shrimp?

  • @2smart4uandu

Here in San Francisco there are 3 stores that sell Amano and other type of small Shrimps, if you live somewhere where there are no aquarium stores, then you can check on google or ebay. There are some people who may sell the shrimp by mail but it could be expensive to pay shipping.

  • @StopFear what food do you give them? Im getting some but have no idea what they really love

  • @2smart4uandu Wal Mart

  • ohh do u think guppies will eat them too? o.o im sure my silver dollars will though

  • @shorteeayy

No, guppies are very small to eat the shrimps. But Silver Dollars will for sure, they have sharp teeth and are kind of predatory

  • okay thanks heaps

  • hey are they the uhm tablets that sink? if so is it like vegetable or like tropical?

  • @shorteeayy

I don't know what food this is, but its by brand Hikari, and they're for algae eaters.

  • did you see the male guppy came in and bit the ghost shrimp? and the ghost shrimp was reacting really quick. :D

  • AMANOS KILLED ALL MY GUPPIES AND NEONS GET RID OF THEM

  • @superpiemonster

False. The ones you got weren't Amanos. I had starving Amanos and starving guppies from baby size to adult size and I have never seen them catch guppies. There are many similar shrimp that look like Amanos, it could be them.

  • i have three amano shrimps but when i try and give them an algae wafer my goldfish always takes it

  • @alks1123

yea thats true. watch out, goldfish could eat the shrimp if it is hungry

  • @StopFear when i was 6 i bought one of a amanos shrimp 4 gupps and 4 goldfish and one of my goldfish killed ALL OF THEM

  • @xbox360ishcool

That sounds right. Goldfish are different type of fish and most Goldfish are bred in China where they can tolerate different temperatures and gain fat. Amano shrimp are from small rivers of Japan, while Neon Tetra are from South America. Goldfish are always hungry to eat smaller fish so usually they will eat them.

  • Nice tank. I'm afraid that if I get a shrimp of any sort that my algae eater will attack it. But anyways, I dunno if I should get Cardinal Tetras or Neon Tetras. I've tried neon before but I killed them (I didn't know >.>) and I've heard that cardinal's have better toleration and hardiness. But then again those neons look pretty cool....

  • @An3ggPlant1

Hi get Cardinals, Every time I go to the aqua store I see how much better cardinals look than neons. Also I read they're more strong as well and they're immune to neon tetra disease. But they do cost about 2x more than neon

  • Your water looks so clear and tank so clean. Your shrimp are apparently great cleaners with a little help from their owner. ;) Well done would love to see a movie of the whole tank.

  • @AvrilLane

Actually I never noticed they cleaned anything. But I clean the aquarium regularly with device called Aqua Magnet. it makes walls very clear. You also have to mix or "turn" the gravel, so that algae goes to bottom and new clean rocks.

  • shrimp look so cute when they eat. lol

  • Haha that was very entertaining =)

  • what do lemon tetras eat? i bought some a day ago and i had golfish pellets in put them in and they didnt take one bite at it what do i feed them?

  • @TheFunnydude123

My fish like to eat Tetra brand flakes called TetraMin Tropical Flakes. It's a yellow container with brown cover

  • That music was brilliant. Just bought an aquarium and have been researching whether guppys can live with neon tetra. So thanks for this video

  • whats the name of the song?

  • music 5 stars (:

  • ooh, the crabby is very cute :D

  • do ur neons nip at ur guppies tails?, i have one neon that does that and i had to separate him cuz he was damaging them :(

  • i also forgot to ask , how do you clean the tank like grave with these shrimps?

  • Hi, this is as big as Amano Shrimp get. They live perfectly fine with Neon Tetra. There is no special feeding conditions. Just feed them small amounts of food but often.

The fish that can't go with Amano shrimp are basically any fish that are big enough to bite them. Usually fish like Angel Fish or Tiger Barb, or Silver dollar are predator fish and they will attack all other fish. But most varieties of Tetra or Guppy are peaceful.

  • so neon tetra are ok with Amano Shrimp?

what special feeding and conditions would go along with Amano Shrimp?

are they aggressive when there older and how big do they get?

what fish will not go with Amano Shrimp

  • hey can you tell me how many neon tetras you have in there? Thanks :)

  • lol. good tune man!

  • how many of each fish?

    Do guppies fight eachother?

  • How the hell you keep your water so clear? i can clean out the entire tank and it'l still look cloudy. Whats the trick?

  • Hi, good question about clear water! This tank never had problems with dirty cloudy water because this is a 10gallon tank, which gets no more than 15watt of light. Also, I dont run it all day, but maybe average 6 hours. Some days of the week light is off. If you look at my other video with bigger tank, that one is designed for lots of light, there I could only clean it with an "internal uv sterilizer", that thing really works.

  • also, feel free to use those various chemicals you can throw in there that claim to clear water, they really do work on somethig like this tank. but you need to get a special kind of algae killer IF you have shrimp or snails, most anti-algae chemicals can kill them. One I used is called "Algae Terminator" and its green

  • @brownvillarat

NEVER change all the water! No more than 25% is needed unless there is an emergency. Google the nitrate cycle, it will explain why your tank is going cloudy.

  • Thanks. My water never has cleared up even after doing my 25% water change. However, my nitrite was off the charts! I finally did 2 50% water changes in a week, then a 25% last night. Nitrite levels are finally down but still not good. My smallest Red Eye tetra died last night, now my second one is convulsing in the tank now. I moved my third red eye tetra to my other tank for safety. All other levels are good.

  • Balanced fish display....is one tank with homicidal cichlids! and one tank with the cutest tiniest fish you can find!

  • im just wondering do the shrimp hurt the fish???

  • no, I never noticed it. it could only be the other way around, fish scare the shrimp. but fish aren't big enough to eat them.

  • ok thank you!! :)

  • You have happy family. I have a problem keeping shrimp alive in my tank. After watching your epic video I think I need to feed more sinking, pellet like foods. Your video has inspired me to persist.

  • Hi, it also depends on what shrimp you have. These Amano shrimp almost never died in my aquarium, but when I put the cherry red shrimp in they all died. I think the cheaper shrimp are stronger. Make sure water condition is zero for Ammonia and zero for Nitrite, they have to be zero for healthy Shrimp. Best food for shrimp is Hikari brand shrimp food

  • wat is that there eating

  • how big is your tank?

  • This tank is 10 gallons. Just one of those relatively small starter tanks.

  • i got my shrimp at pet smart and i bought them in feb 09

  • whats your ph

  • I dont remember. It was awhile ago. I remember it was something average. No extremes.

  • where u can get a shrimp? i bought some ghost shrimp and they died y? plz cooment

  • Some pet stores have Amano shrimp. Here in San Francisco at least one store has them. Your water has to be very clean and cycled. Has to have zero ammonia and zero nitrite, otherwise they will die.

  • lol what song is this?

  • When you upload any video to youtube they have an option to AudioSwap. They have a big library of public domain music that you can select from to put music into your video. I thought this music was fitting of the colorful fish.

  • your shrimp is pretty similar to what I have- a ghost shrimp

  • Shrimp looks cool :P

  • nice video...

  • That shrimp is a bamboo shrimp

  • I am not familiar with the bamboo shrimp but the store sold these as "Amano shrimp"

  • No I think it's a ghost shrimp. Bamboo shrimps are brown/dark red (depending on mood). This shrimp is clearly... Clear.

  • Amano shrimp, look at the description.

  • hey dude! what kind of shrimp is that in your tank? is it ghost shrimp?

    cool fishes by the way!

    5 star!

  • i love that bamboo shrimp :]

  • lol
