  • I think im going to recover mine from the black , i saw a whait one and it looked cool , i might do mine in brown...to give it some flair.

  • I purchased one of these when they first came out its definatly a hybrid , it will use 6l6-kt66-or el34s...I have mullard el 34s in the one i have and it is bad ass. The amp will do any sound you want from rock to metal and in between. The transformers are custom wound and are very large and can handel anything. The tone controls are active and some people have a problem with this because they use a little finess , matched with the appropraite speakers this amp is a keeper.. The footswitch AAA +

  • Great sound, and very good playing. I heard a lot about this amp and It sounds great on both clean an dirty. I've to ask you the name of 3 songs you played in the video, because I'm going mad thinking which songs are. I'm talking about the songs at 2:12, 4:04 and 4:14. can you help me on that?:)

  • @Vomitore Considering the fact that Genz-Benz only makes instrument amplifiers, and they have been doing so for the last 27 years, I would say they are known for them... If you don't like them just say that, but I know many accomplished musicians who prefer a Genz-Benz over Marshall, VOX, Kustom, etc. especially as a well rounded amp which can tackle almost any desired sound profile with ease. Great for anyone who wants a high end amp but doesn't have wads of cash and/or tons of space.

  • @redxblue58 I've seen lots of people with the cabs. I've never seen anyone with a head. I'm just commenting on the head itself. After hearing one in-person, I'm more convinced that you'd be better off finding something else. Plus, they really aren't that cheap. The El Diablo heads are somewhere in the range of 1400.00-1500.00 for a new one. A used one I've never seen, other than e-Bay. But we all know that you never buy an instrument you can't hold, hear and play in-person.

  • Some great riffs in there... Mars Volta, Tool, Radiohead, RHCP

  • He sounds like he just took a big ass hit from a gravity bong....

  • The high gain channel is so dark.

  • @Vomitore

But is it the actual sound of this amp or is it how the EQ is dialed in?

  • @Natesmitguitar Might be either, or. If I wanted to buy an amp I'd go with a company that's known for them. Like Marshall or what-have-you.

  • Are these amps made in ths USA?

  • One of the best jobs demo-ing an amp I've ever heard. Great playing also dude!

  • um Australians can play guitar son.

  • Good demo but I can't stop thinking about the way he sounds like Andy from Pro guitar shop. Whether it is on purpose or pure chance. :)

  • Hi!

    Which guitars are used here?

  • Ha Slow Dancing. Hell yeah.

  • Very good demonstration. I like the descriptions with the samples.

For future reference, Genz Benz is named for founder Jeff Genzler, who is a personal acquaintance of mine. Jeff pronounces his name and the company's name with a hard "G" sound rather than the soft "G" that you used.

Take care, and keep making cool videos like this.

  • @benvin10365 Have you heard of any resent problems with this amp? Mine won't turn on now. The blue lights come on but that's it. No power or stand by power/ lights as well. I sent him an email. I hope that they will pay the shipping and handling because it needs to be packaged very securely. I'm glad that I don't have any gigs right now.

  • @MultiScoffer Jeff Genzler is usually very good about contact. He answers calls and helps people with any questions or concerns. You may also want to call M-Troniks in Mesa, AZ for troubleshooting.

  • @benvin10365 I took my amp to King Amplification located in Los Gatos, CA. They just became a service center recently for Genz Benz amps. You are right. Jeff is very good when in returning your email and the staff is very friendly.

  • So much better than the official videos.

  • KOL!!! and Radiohead!!! ha.. thanks

  • Good job on the assignment...The amp sounds like muddy crap, however. Not your fault.
