Jamaica has always produced fast athlethes: Wint, 1st J'can Olympic gold 1948, McKinley, Quarrie, Cameron, Ottey, Hemmings, Bailey, Thomas. Late 80's many with potential burnt out b4 finishing American university doing varsity. Many USA, UK and CA athlethes were born in JA but country doesn't own up until they're drugged up i.e. Ben Johnson became 'Jamaican Born' LOL
Difference now? They run for THEIR COUNTRY!! Many kids in High sch run as fast as some Olympians!!
