pulling back is only part of bringing the front end up along with , pushing down first, gearing,covering the back brake ETC...<, if your new at it my best advise would be to start on a bycicle first and fall a few times so u know your balance points good first if you know what i mean. Keep the shiny side up
But I'm right there with ya, wrote my 955 off, and while laid up with 4 broken ribs and a broken shoulderblade, I had my R1 delivered before I could ride it...

On a 1000cc not that much... but yes you pull back while bringin the front up..
