  • dude you should more practice

  • Would this be a good amp to play post hardcore on

  • this amp sounds so fuckin' digital...hate it !

that's why i'm going to sell mine.

  • I love these Valvetronix amps! I picked up the 30 watt version for so cheap the guy probably called the cops when I left. It's the best way to get tube tone without having an all tube amp. Much warmer than the all digital stuff from Line 6. I went a step further and added an FX loop to the PCB and a cabinet out jack like the 50 watt on up versions have, very easy to do on a Saturday afternoon. If anyone is thinking about getting one of these, go for it! They're really good.

  • Great!! A 'simple' guitar in the right hands is all you need. Imagine what it would be like to live without this manipulated need for brands, image or what other people have!! sigh!! Long live the cheapo guitar!!

  • Amazing tone! Hey what do you have the EQ on the amp set to? I've also got the orginal ADVT50 and I don't know how you operate the HiGain model so well. x]

  • great playing!

  • Great playing I'm envious.

  • hell yeah!!! thats what im talking about right there.....good old "us" rock and roll!!!! or metal whatever

    (:

  • One thing...INCREDIBLE PLAYING!!!!!!

  • You should get a better guitar.. you play like I want to mate.... rock on! great amp too!

  • I cant quite get whats up with the AD VT and the New Valvetronix... does the Valvetronix sound better than this?

  • r the vt series better than the advt?

  • ido why, but i kinda like this crap man! i gonna subscrip you!

  • IMO the boutique and both UK settings are quite a bit more alive on Vox VTs. I flipped a Line 6 Spider III. It had a great 12" celestion, but any VT would rip it apart tonally. Ideal practice amps!

  • Sounds like a Soldano to me.

  • bravo!

  • i bet every guitar in your hands sounds great. wow :))

  • penis

  • It models a Soldano SLO-100

  • Really nice sound... the best of all modeling sets.

  • Hmm.. this isn't really high gain..

The clean on the 100vt is good and the effects are good.. but I'm not convinced about the gain..

AD100VT or Framus Cobra.. Anyone care to voice opinion.

Nice playing by the way :).

  • I own the same amp along with a fender hot rod deluxe. The reason it is not as "high gain" as it advertised is because of his choice of using the strat, which has lower output pickups. A les paul or other humbucker guitar would really show the "high gain" channel in that amp.

  • Sounding good!

One thing though, do you find that with the AD50VT your tone can be a bit to bassy, even with high treble and low bass settings? I have it too and it might be just me/my guitar but its something that bugs me a little about the amp.

  • you are correct sir ,it is the amp you can fool with the modles and the guitar to get more highs ,i understand the ad 100 vt xl dose not have that problem . good luck

  • I have it too and I find that no matter what settings i choose, there is too much of mid tones.

  • I've never heard the blues at such high gain sound so good

  • Hey, really nice playing mate! I was thinkin' ( and please answer me, I'm suffering ) that is this 50 watt model enough to play in concerts? I want to by an amp that has enough volume so that I can play live. And I can only afford the 50 watt model :D

  • save for the 100 Watt. If you use around 50 you'll get drowned out by the rest of the band during big gigs

  • mic it up and put it through the P.A

  • This is definitely one of my fav settings for this amp, but I have the 100w version :D. I have a schecter c1 that I put SD blackouts in and this amp makes it scream! nice playing btw!

  • do you think the 100w version is loud enough to play small to medium gigs with.

  • yeah, most likely. I haven't been able to try it yet, but I'm sure it can.. The guy at Sam Ash who helped me pick an amp told me it could easily handle a smaller size venue

  • Nice job. I just bought this amp based in large part on your demos. Real happy with it.

  • Yeah I like that tone, sounds very thick, especially considering the guitar!

  • great tone and playing

  • It's the 1x12 version.

    /Baldy

  • lol baldy... thats not a very nice name to call someone who post videos for you

    good video btw

  • oh your nice

and nice vid man that's some good playing

  • cOngratulatiOns yOu maDe it!!

    haLLeluJah!!!

  • Excellent!

  • tu eres ciulo ombre

  • Very very good, forget the idiots comment below, youre never lonely when you can play like this. where did you get the flavour/lessons?

  • dude u should put your amp settings .. or are u using de preset mode?

    nice playing see ya!

  • the line 6 pod live xt is pretty good to get the master of puppets tone

  • ahaha i used and SG with stock pickups 0_0

  • with that amp model you can get a good master of puppets album tone with the right settings , pickups and guitar .

  • let me see hmm. Did you ever heard of the Line 6 POD??

  • yeah and the line 6 is a big pile of shit if u ask me!

  • The flextone II is brilliant, and noone asked you.

  • Line 6 Vettas are pretty good if you ask me.

  • But they are too expensive, ive been playing 36 years. a decent tube amp, an overdrive pedal and a delay is all you need. you can get them anywhere in good used condition for £200 ($300) . i will have to do a gear guide soon.

  • Yeah, they are expensive and good used tube amps aren't very hard to find.

  • could you reply in pn please? why is the line 6 the shit?

  • line 6 is good for the FLEXTONE and VETTA series. dont ever talk shit about it until you fully try one of those models.

  • Hey man.. what amp settings you using? I've got a highway one tele and id like to try that sound.. I love that amp model too

  • shit this dude is very good ,2 his tone with single coils is uber good too . HBuckers are great , I've played them my whole life but if you can't appreciate the tone he just had soloing you just don't know whats good . THAT SMOKED MAN !

  • yes 5 stars

  • Ah would have been much better on something with humbuckers, Great playing though, It still sounded good, but i think something like a les paul or an Ibanez would have made it thicker.

  • o well at least he can play .you talentless clown.

  • This lacks the raw power of a Gibson. Feels a bit watered down to me.

  • tottaly!!

  • Gibsons have humbucker pickups. This squier has single coil pickups. Humbuckers get a crunchier tone and have higher output. Single coils (passive especially) aren't as good for a distorted tone and have lower output.

  • I know that.....

I was saying that the tone seems watered down, although that is expected from a SS amp.

Not to mention I own a Gibson.

  • This isn't a SS amp, its a hybrid. Tubes in the preamp or something like that i can't remember exactly.

Oh and i have a gibson too \m/

  • I know, but it still is a SS amp essentially. It has one tube in the preamp, just for a bit of added warmth to the tone, but I think it still sounds SS.

What kind of Gibson do you have?

  • Well i think that they're good for hybrids and sound better than most SS amps. I'm getting an ad30vt friday actually.

I have the gibson vintage mahogany les paul, worn cherry finish.

I'm also hoping to save up for a guitar with a floyd rose, preferably under $500 USD. Anyone have recommendations?

  • that sound is awesome!

  • hello sounds good is this the xl serie

  • nope its the ad50vt

  • Awesome!

  • Wank wank wank

  • did you use any pedal on this video?

  • no pedals at all.

  • im sold!

  • Great

  • this channel is modeled after the slash signature marshall amp

  • Is it really? I've never heard that before.

  • i read the online manual. and it said the amp it was modeled after was coverd in snake skin and thats the only amp i know with snake cover

  • No its not, its modeled after a Soldano SLO-100

  • i was gunna say. the

UK modern is modelled after a JCM 2000,

UK 80's is after a JCM 800 (which was also slash's signiture amp)

and the US High Gain was a Mesa boogie... thats the impression i was under. although im 100% sure it aint the slash signiture

  • Yes, I agree with what you said, except the UK modern sounds more like Slash to me because the closest tone to Slash's was the Silver Jubilee, which came out in 1987. Slash's appetite amp was a modded 1959 Marshall Tremelo from SIR rental in LA. Slash has more gain than an 800, but sounds nothing like a 900, but the UK modern sounds a lot like Slash to me.

  • Uk modern = JCM 2000

    Numetal = Mesa Boogie recto

Us High Gain = Soldano SLO 100

  • UK modern+Marshall JCM 900

  • the slash's signature amps was Marshall Silver Jubilee (limited product by marshall) and later reisued to slash's signature amp

  • yeah but the jubilees were pretty much the JCM800... different colour and casing.

  • yeah his a jcm800 modeled after the silver julie he had a long time ago but it got returned by a roadie of his

  • @slashdime It's modeled after a Soldano SLO-100.

  • @slashdime No it's based on a Soldano amp, I forget which model to be exact.

  • you buyed? lol

  • thats cool he has a tele headstock on the strat what kind is that

  • It's a Squier '51 I believe. Look up that name.

  • should i buy an AD50VT or one of the XL series?

  • Depends on what music you play. The XL will probadly be good if you play stricly metal. I would get the AD50VT since you get a better choice of tones with it.

  • i play punk/alternative...but mainly rock n' roll. i think the XL's are too hard for me

  • I'm looking for an amp to play at home that will give me nice jazz and blues tones at low volume levels? Would you recommend this amp? How digital does it sound at lower volume levels?

  • It sounds great at any volume really. I think it works great for blues, but it didn't work great for me when playing jazz. That nice low end tone I want when playing jazz was hard to get with this amp. The bass can get quite "boomy". It's a great amp for any other style of music though.

  • Thanks for your advice.

  • What amp do you use when playing jazz? Is all tube, hybrid or a solid state?

  • All tube. Reverend Hellhound. Traynor or Fender for example would work great too.

  • Thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions. I really appreciate it.

  • The modeling on this amp isn't digital. It's a real 12AX7.

    From Vox:

The Valve Reactor circuit uses a 12AX7 triode vacuum tube together with an actual low-wattage tube power amp circuit, a virtual output transformer and a dummy speaker circuit that simulates the impedance changes of a real speaker. It also reconfigures itself so that its characteristics are the same as the amps it's modeling (class A, class AB, negative feedback circuit, etc.)

    So, not digital

  • I had a 30, for about 4 months (loaned out from GC) and, I really think you actually lose the punch of that 10" speaker, going to the bigger 50. It just doesn't sound as concise and sparkly, nor do the low crunch or overdrives sound as clear. it seems muddier. I'd like to see a 2x10". I believe all other features are the same,,the 50 might have a loop. But, you can talk your way into a 30 for about $200 bux. hurry, though, they are raising prices in the music world quick.

  • y have a Gibson Sg g400 with Laney amp

  • I thought Squier was shit guitars. And AD is a cheaper amp. But you made it sound very good. Nice sustain, good playing. Nice job!

  • it depends on the squier but thinkin the AD series are shit! ur wayyyy wrong dude go buy one

  • actually this is one of the best of squiers guitars from this time. They cost about 160 and they are going on german ebay for about 350 now because they are really good. My guitar teacher bought one and waits until it reaches the 500 ;)

  • Hi. My Vox ad50vt its new. I need to know if its normal that the manual function interrupt the final sound( The sustain isnt long, and finish with a weird sound)

In the others functions(like presets, ch1 ch2) i have no problems.

I have a squier telecaster custom

  • That might be the built in noise reduction killing your sustain, check the manual on how to turn it off, it involves the bypass button and the edit knob.

  • That's some pretty fierce sweeping you did there, nice job. Thanks for showing me what the amp will sound like on its different settings. Have you tried this amp with an effects pedal yet?

  • Yes, it sounds good with a Bad Monkey.

  • sweet i have a bad monkey...does it sound good without any pedals and w/ single coils(other than your tele')

  • is that the 1x12 or the 2x12? I checked one out at my local guitar center today but they didnt have anything that would closely replicate the set up im playing at home (epi '66 sg reissue w/ EMG's). Either way, it makes your squier sound really nice, hoping i can expect the same quality results. keep up the good work!

  • Thanks - this is the 1x12 version.

  • Great amp! Terrible fenders (and yes fender doesnt deserve to be capitolized) ruining the amps potentail GET A GIBSON!!

  • Hey Fenders are awesome! But anyways guitar is all personal preference. Gibson's quilty knowadays is crap. Their $600 faded SG is worse quilty than an squier! Gibson sucks

  • lol. and yes it is a great amp. probably one of the most versatile.

  • it appears that you're a moron

  • Do you know any songs?

  • i have this amp too it{s amazin check my chanel

  • What kind of settings do you use at of time 00:27? I have a vox ad50vt too and your videos advised me to buy it. And that was a smart purchase. Thank you:)

  • Sounds great!

  • I had the same amp as you and this US Hi Gain channel gets a great Santana/Boogie tone with my PRS.. It sounds good with your tele too.. THe best part about the valvetronix is turning the powerswitch down and the volume up.. Get that tube feedback and roar..

Oh and if you have a problem wheere it starts sounding bad and/or blowing fuses.. the tubes done.. i replaced mine with a 12ax7 groove tube.. beats the electro harmonix that comes stock.

  • I enjoy your videos! You are an excellent player and you get great tones with that AD50VT!!

  • you rock!

  • Excellent playing.

  • Wonderful! Could you tell me what was your equalization at first time? That was much good. I´m sorry about my poor english! Thanks.

  • nice sound

what settings do you use on the us higain ?

  • 1 x 12

  • Is this the 2x12 version or the 1x12?

  • so how are those amps? I'm thinking about getting the head version.

  • thats a vox for defo, little muddy i thought, but after that sweet as a nut i think anyway

  • rotren,

Thanks for posting these vid clips! Its nice to see an amp I'm interested in very well demonstrated.

Very nice playing! One question if I may ..does vox still use Celestions in these models? as I see now the specs say "vox original speakers"(are they made for vox by celestion?

  • Yes, I think the speaker in the amp I have is specially made for Vox by Celestion.

  • Yep ..I googled around last night until found an article that states the same ..that "vox original speakers" are specially made by celestion.

Thanks for help and enjoyed your vids its always nice to see some really good playing on youtube for a change.

  • Thanks! Well, after that clip, I went down to the chess club and shuffled some pawns... hehe :)

  • if i saw u walkin down the street id think u were on the way to the chess club or something but wow u can rock start a band man!!

  • I like it, I don't use the US Highgain, too much gain for my liking...but it's a great demo.

  • Great tone! You confirmed it. I suck.

I really enjoy watching & listening.

  • thanx ,bluespower...

  • fuk awsome playin man. i jst bought the 60th anniversery telecaster playin it through the same amp. You can get so many awsome tones.
