  • hey when i do my running/walking animations should i have all the layers of arms legs etc in a movie clip of the character? or just layers in a folder? it's hard to explain what i am trying to say so if you don't understand please tell me otherwise thanks.

  • dude your awesome but get a screen recorder please!

  • pretty good

  • how many layers do you typically use?

  • three i would think

  • amazing i do some shit animations for fun and have always struggled with showing movement in the whole character so thanks that really helped and simply amazing

  • yo man thanks for that video, really helped a newb

  • pretty.

  • Uh, he draws them himself...

  • Thats Pico , right ? :D

  • look at thr best example of frame by frame minicartoon

    watch?v=InMswtQCVIY&feature=related

  • What's He doing with his hands?

  • im just a, a maniac...

  • omg this has helped me alot! i no it wasnt a tut., but still! the animation is so smoothe...aweasome

  • I really like your videos on NG and your tuts. on Youtube.

But one question, when you motion tween, do you use any ease (or whatever it's called)?

P.S. good luck recreating gun smoke! (saw your post in the forums, my NG name is flashmac).

  • if i do ease, i generally crank it to the max.. anything less than that is too subtle and not worth it in my opinion.. so its always at 100 or -100

  • what framerate do you animate at?

  • usually 24.. games are generally 30-36 fps

  • thanks

  • If you have a crap computer, yes.

Games' framerate can be anything all depending on what game you're playing, what hardware you have and what refresh rate your monitor support. And unlike animation, the timeline doesn't rely on framerate of a game. Standard for movies are 24 to 30 fps and for cartoons it's usually 15.

  • yo! i realize that pico!

he from ng rumble. os! i'am learning from a kick ass

    pro...WHOO!

  • I'm amazed how you can trace the previous frame exactly.

I don't think I can trace so nicely even with a tablet.. mind revealing the technique?

  • cool tutorial dude, could u please explain how you ghost the layers?i mean so you can use the last last frame used to trace over?thanks alot man...

  • Could you tell us your techniques for your tablet/mouse?

Just basically how to get it to look as you intended, as you draw.

    Smoothness, size, etc..?

    That would be great.

    Keep up the tut's

  • Wow!!! That's hella good!

  • whats your smooth level on paintbrush?

  • its 48

  • thanks for the tips. cant wait till u finish. instant 5. :D
