  • Entire album is great. Not one bad song in 10 tracks.

  • .... Not

  • 1st .....

  • That intro reminds me of "Discovery" by Rush...........crazy

  • This is a Great Band ...

At the End i think to hear John Cale ...

  • Lou Reed would be proud!

  • Can't wait for their CD101 Big Room show today at 1:00, it's going to be so fucking cool.

  • I wish youtube would let people put up songs that are more than 10 minutes... ...christ....

  • Wow, other songs I've heard by them are like fairly straight-up Doors, but this one is unvarnished Velvets! Right down to the extended song-length, the galloping drums, & the jittering violin refrain. But any band that calls itself the Black Angels had *better* sound like they're playing from inside Lou Reed's pocked at least SOME of the time. <3

  • If you ever see a movie with this song playing for the end credits, it was me.

  • got another one. Jim Morrison, Velvet Underground, Joy Division, Sabbath, and The Violent Femmes all had a circle jerk, then Grace Slick sat in it. Two weeks later (yeah I said two weeks later) The Black Angels crawled out insturments in hand.

  • @WillyFeelerbusch Hahaha

  • This band pisses excellence.

  • Saw them open for th eback keys in the Natti in '08 and have been looking for them ever since, finally found them...

."He drives a Nindeeethousssand Dollar Jayg-yua'yer to work EverYday..."

  • Reminds me of the kind of music that plays when you watch a movie, and the main character is oppressed the whole time and seems to be in a really bad situation, but then near the end, he finally triumphs over evil and after doing so, he walks down the street in semi slow motion with this song playing in the background, which then cuts to the credits. Then again that could just be me...

  • @PlayinDemVidya Reminds me of a revolution being successful and now all the oppressed citizens are happy and shit.

  • The beginning of this song reminds me of the Duke Spirit! .................I HIGHLY recommend that band.for you Indie lovers.

  • Outstanding!!

  • holy crap 18 minutes???

  • @theschooler967 18 min?

  • @theschooler967 They've got another 18 minute song called "Snake in the Grass" and it's fucking mind-blowing.

  • Epic!

  • i like the simplicity of this song. the tone and rhythm has a somewhat steady and easy feel to it. i like it :)

  • whole song reminiscent of velvet underground! still great and original!

  • This is a seriously groovy song.

  • holy shit

  • I listened to this song really high last night, and it felt like I was making love to the words.

  • @pipette1001 so gay

  • The Black Angels will be in NYC this weekend!

  • top tune just wish i could hear the lyrics

  • This is my fav TBA song.

  • Those dislikes were just people who accidentally hit "dislike" when actually trying to hit "like".

  • play call to arms and empire back 2 back. and sit back and enjoy :) thankyou and good night

  • they're influenced by the velvet underground and ican definitly hear the song "herione" in the guitaring in this song

  • i remember that song young men dead off that movie {DEATH SENTENCE} not fable 3

  • two people were in the shower when arms called

  • I take that back, this whole song sounds like pure, unadulterated freedom.

  • @DonBello Trollololol

  • from the beginning to 1:45 seriously sounds like pure freedom.

  • DAMN RIGHT NO DISLIKES!!!

  • @washedpotatoes way to jinx up shit bro

  • good fuckin intro

  • @dopeybear420 the intro almost makes me think of Lou Reeds "Heroin"

  • 2 vocal sounds like Lou Reed

  • Thank goodness for youtube. I hear hints of Bowie?.?

  • @thomson6278 yes i hear heroes by bowie

  • @thomson6278 I catch a King Swamp, even Morrison, vibe - but unique enuff, yeah

  • This is by far the best song on the album- reminds me alot of early U2. The only thing I dont like is how there's 9 minutes of silence

  • Blown away by this soundtrack, and ashamed that The Black Angels aren't as famous as they deserve to be.

  • Anyone else notice the similarities between this and the intro to Discovery by Rush? Its pretty cool :)

  • Nico for nicotine, nicotine for addiction, addiction for pleasure, pleasure for life, life for death, death for war, war for The Black Angels

  • this is BRILLLIANT!!!!

  • @theRAVEful fable 3? is it good? wat it be like?

  • ohhh booo hooo hooo

  • im goin to war with this song playen in my head....

  • The only thing I'd add to this song is bag pipes.

  • I love the Black Angels.....this one reminds me of the opening of Lou Reed's "Heroin"

  • as a start we off'd go down the path

of feilds of gold, a vision that soon will pass

a great mistake, the diamond on his face

black as night, where the coral snake will strike

but i found, well i found, you at the fall

and it didnt mean, nothin at all

  • @DrPa1nxD lol, its the drummer chick.

  • @Nicookr

Are you sure it is not Nico?

  • @MossKristian o... just looked it up. well if Wikipedia is correct then sure, but i was totally convinced it was Stephanie >.<

  • @MossKristian The woman in the picture is Nico.

  • be honest i never heard of this band till i saw the ad on tv for fable 3 revolution and hear the song. just awsome i am going to by the cd.

  • @dunn98632 This is like the hundreth comment Ive seen from fable players XD

  • @dunn98632 I'm with you on that. I don't understand the hate some get for hearing it first on the Fable III ad. I think it not only sold a pretty good game, but it also brought more peoples attention to a gem of a good band. I'd figure if you're favorite band has a lot of new fans, then the Fable haters should be happy for the Black Angles expanding their fanbase. I'll be putting Passover on my Christmas List thanks to Fable III. :D

  • @dunn98632 I agree man! I am a HUGE Fable fan and I hear Young Men Dead and I got hooked on these guys. :)

  • @dunn98632 I heard them on the Darkness II trailer :P

  • @optiluiz

transformers dark side of the moon had alot to do with revolution.

  • @dunn98632 *buy lol

  • @dunn98632 go see them live its even better!

  • When it comes to psychedelic rock, the longer the song the better, in my opinion--but only if it's this good.

  • is it really 18 minutes?

  • @darikai219 isn't it 9:37?

  • @darikai219 18:06 I'm listening to the full length track now. 18 minutes of sheer bliss.

  • @thisnotmyname is that on a cd or an actual link to the song?

  • Comment removed

  • @michiganjfrog55 well, technically call to arms is 10 minutes 34 seconds, then 3 mins 39 seconds silence then the cover of vietnam.

  • @thisnotmyname True, I didn't bother to actually look at how long each is. And I accidentally deleted my original comment. Whoops.

  • Reminds me o Pink Floyd, dunno why....

  • @outoftheboxmodels: Pink Floyd's first album was The Piper At The Gates of Dawn which is kind of similar appearing to Sniper at the Gates of Heaven. This song's ending is similar to Floyd's Echoes and Ummagumma.

  • @outoftheboxmodels maybe a little bit.....

  • Life Changing

  • This is so good it makes me want to weep in realizing there are still bands out there making music this good ,so hard to find these days

  • @Harbringe

Don't worry, man. Its music like this that will survive the test of time. We just need to keep spreading the word.

  • @Harbringe i agree so so hard to fine anymore this band is a gem

  • 5:48 and on is just so damn awesome.

  • a retelling of a classic vietnam story.

  • these dudes are good!

  • I feel like making a montage of historical events to this...

  • intro reminds me of Zoids o__O

  • Im Buying this!

  • anyone know where these guys torrents are?

  • @thorfoxxx pirate bay

  • Comment removed

  • @unintended7410 u tried to be clever but all u said is that u continually dont listen to this song

  • @CabooseTheCanadian maybe he can't speak spanish you dumbfuck

  • @CabooseTheCanadian say whaat? yes i do listen this song. I was just drunk when i wrote that shit ^^

  • Wow. Very spacemen 3-esque. I love it.

  • To those under 30,

if you like this band, and want an often overlooked 60's band that had a big broad droning groove to them as well other than The Velvet Underground which everyone knows...look up The Seeds...look up the song "300 million all in love" i beleive it's called.

  • @slitheringinterstate not finding it

  • easymelon,

my bad...it's called "900 Million People Daily"

  • @slitheringinterstate definitly dig it

  • @slitheringinterstate definitly dig it, especially pushin too hard

  • Christian Bland is pretty darn amazing

  • This band is sick. I just started listening to them the last couple of months. They will blow up soon enough.

  • favorite

  • they stole my idea about remaking jimmy cliff's "vietnam" for the iraq war!

  • i have only just discovered this band today all i can say is WOW!!!

  • when alex sings he sounds like lou reed at times in this song

  • I adore the guitar interplay on this song, and that kind of galloping pace, and the lyrics, and the vocals...ah fuck it, I just adore this song. ;)

  • @ScreamingTc Well said

  • dig it

  • what album is this on? anyone?

  • @easymelon2187

Its on their first album, Passover.

Their first one reminded me of a psyched out Velvet Underground with a shit load of Reverb.

    ... Goodness :D.

  • @easymelon2187 passover

  • What album is this on?

  • Wow, what a great fucking song.

  • but i found, well i found, you at the fall

  • excellent!

  • I think I'm retarded for not going to their gig when I had the chance. Oh well, if I'm in Netherlands again someday....they seem to gig there often.

  • yeah gonna see them together with wolfmother in 3 weeks in cologne :)

  • really nice intensity and melody

  • amazing song

  • fucking, awesome, song.

  • Nice kind of music, like Jane´s Addiction meets The Charlatans .-)

  • Most emutional musik i have ever heard the black angels are fantastic and all theire songs too xD

  • Kind of a mix between B.R.M.C. and the Doors and the Jesus and Mary Chain. I'm diggin it! I hope to make it out to see you guys with the Raveonetttes in Austin!

  • o bom, e velho rock está de volta...

  • It's my impression or in 8:30 there's the whale of "Echoes" from Pink Floyd?

  • it could be a violin lower in the mix or guitar with treble, minus the tone (see Estranged by GNR).

it DEFINITELY sounds like the whale though.

  • what are you saying

  • velvet underground-ish.

    beautiful!

  • excellent...

  • Amazing live, & great recording.

  • Fantastic record, for a fantastic band in a nasty world

  • It gains momentum...and kicks ass. "He bought a ticket to heaven...but it expired...in June.."..

    Classic.

  • Reminds me of The Velvet Underground and Jefferson Airplane. Very cool.

  • thank you for posting this whoever you are. glad to see fellow black angel lovers.

  • Every song on this album is memorable. One of the best albums i've ever heard

  • yes i agree, these guys truly know how to make sound, this deserves respect from everyone. true sound should never go unnoticed.

  • @thejoel3 Couldnt have said it better myself. Monumental LP.

  • I'm so happy I got this album, I really hope they keep doing good stuff

  • gotta luv the Black Angels!

  • one of my fav tunes by them, groovy wee tune tis
