The tune is Mrs McLeod of Raasay, the words are a bit of a hotchpotch. The original words are on the learning and teaching scotland website under music of scotland.
Further to my earlier comment: anyone familiar with the work of cast member Finlay Currie will recognise that he is shown conducting the singers. According to refernces found elsewhere on the internet , the puirt a beul (mouth music) was performed by Boyd Steven, Maxwell Kennedy and Jean Houston of the Glasgow Orpheus Choir., - John Austin, Australia
Probably the only "look" at this famous choir that survives, or at least a look at a handfull of its members - but "conducted" here by Finlay Currie. - John Austin, Australia
Thank you very much for this John Austin (I'm currently watching Melbourne tennis!) Do you have another source for your Finlay Currie reference? And any clue as to the name of the tune?

I first heard the glasgow Orpheus Choir in the film IKWIG. A wonderful and, perhaps, unique sound.
