I dont really enjoy gameplay where you struggle :( I would prefer some ownage despite your Hard difficulty and Hardcore mode. Maybe lower your difficulty because you are not prepared for the Big Empty at all. I mainly used my Ballistic fist and Hunting rifle and I had tons of stimpaks. You didnt seem to bring anything powerful.
