@Thetrevorboi89 For some reason it wouldn't let me type in their web address on here. Just google the company name and it will come up. They have a huge inventory of restoration parts for all years of Lincolns.
Thank you so much for the right move to save this beauty.Im very thankful to guys like you to have enthusiasm, time, money and have the balls for buy these cars and take care of them.Good to have young people like us around with the interest in these classic cars. This way it is possible to keep them alive for few more decades.(or less?depends on the fuel availability)Seems like you are a "Ford man".Just because of the Grand Marquis and Town Car.I had lincoln too.A 1981 Mark VI.Thank you and Enjoy!
@bigcarlove You're welcome. I slowly picked away at a few things the car needed over a span of about 3 years. All it really stills needs is a new vinyl top. It still looks good from 5 ft away, but up close there are a few cracks starting. But I agree, too many people out there would rather derby these or "scrap them" which seems to be everyone's new trendy pastime these days when it comes to classic cars that need a bit of work.
@Rockord79 watch out for the cracks in the vinyl. they allow water to get into the padding and will quickly rust out the steel roof underneath the viny. Great car, thanks for preserving this beauty.
@SuperOffgrid I know, those small cracks can create many serious problems down the road. I think there might already be a bit of rust above the rear window, but luckily the car has been in dry indoor storage for the last 2 years out of the elements. I think when I pull it out of storage this year, replacing the vinyl top will be the first thing I do. You're welcome.. saving one at a time!
@bigcarlove Well I am kind of a Ford guy I guess you could say. But I did start out as a GM guy when I bought my first car at 17. I still have it also. It is a 1975 Chevrolet Impala coupe. It's here in a few of my other videos. I am hoping to get both the Lincoln and Impala out of the garage this summer, as I missed last year's cruising season entirely due to work and other obligations that kept me from driving them.
good save my man..who was the dumb hick that wanted to butcher this beautiful car up for a demo derby...if i ran into you ..i would gladly buy you a beer just for saving a great car ....good to see there are still people out there with a good head on their shoulder's and not ruin such a good car....my ford hat is off to you
Thanks. Well according to the guy I bought the car from, out of all three or four people that were serious about buying it, I was the only one he wanted to sell it to. When I pulled up in my 1991 Grand Marquis, he could see I had an appreciation for preserving these types of cars. Oddly enough I took the Lincoln it to a car show a few years later and I saw the previous owner at the show. He was really pleased to see how I had kept it up and that it was still on the road. Cheers!
@Rockord79 your welcome..i also own a 1990 grand marquis..great cars.....and glad to see some of us will take great care of these cars,,good luck with them all
@Rockord79 no a Lincoln is a very rare car in Denmark, so people stare at me when I drive around in my rust free 73 Mark IV... as you say over there in Canada, "It's a head turner"
Hi Thanks. I am a big fan of these cars as well as a lot of other large 70's cars. I do take great pride in my vehicles and treat them as if they were new. It's getting more difficult it seems to find these types of vehicles around here that have been looked after. Many people seem to be so quick to just junk nice old cars these days ... not me though Take care.
Hi Rockford, I own a dark blue 79 Collector Series Town Car and I must say I'm hooked, proud to say I'm a Lincolnholic! After rebuilding the carb to end a pesky flat spot and a deep detail job, I've never been so proud or have enjoyed any car in my life as much as this one! Congrats on the excellent taste you displayed in choosing such a fine and stately automobile!!!
I have an 1989 town car and i would like to get it running and looking better where do you get your parts?
Thetrevorboi89 3 weeks ago
@Thetrevorboi89 Hi I get all my parts through Baker's Auto in Putnam Conneticut. They are great to deal with.

Nice Town Car. I once had a 1974 Town Car, but it was a rust bucket... to many winters on the road in Denmark and no rustproofing.

@landyacth
Hello,
Thanks for the comment. Yes this one is really solid for a Canadian car. Lots of rust-proofing from new has helped. I get it rust proofed also.
Are big old Lincolns still popular over there in Denmark?
