THIS FUCKING ACTOR PLAYED A MINER THEN JOINED THE GREEN PATRY TOSSER . AND TOLD FOLK NOT TO BURN COAL WHAT A FUCKING WANKER HE IS . AND HE GOT PAID MILLIONS FOR IT AND GAVE NOWT TO MINERS .
I watch them giving out Oscars year in year out to anyone with an American birth certificate....bloody hell Pete you'd have had a dozen if you'd only been American...especially one for Brassed Off...acting at it's very best especially the speech at the end of the movie !! You made us laugh and you made us cry Pete....R.I.P. Fella!
some times there are actors and then there are bloody good actors and he was one of the best, thank you for all that you have given to them that watch a classic man
I watched the grim dinosaur hunter in The Lost World: Jurassic Park and the goofy monk in Dragonheart, but was amazed upon learning they were the same actor.
One of if not England's best actor.Even if a film was not very good if it had Pete in you would know it was worth watching anyway because his acting was ace he always seemed to put alittle bit of him self in to his parts. A Gentleman and a true star. this is very sad news. Have a safe journey Peter Postlethwaite. Rip
Pete was a fantastically talented actor, from roles as 'the baddy' in Hornblower to the fabulous conductor in 'Brassed Off'... Always the consult professional and a joy to watch... He will be sadly missed by audiences and his fellow actors too... RIP Pete... enjoy your rest mate... :0)X
I loved the vision you gave my soul in a thing called a movie. Acting in heaven the lighting will always be brilliant, the focus soft, the script remembered the Director your friend and giving and taking of your art and that face. Oh what a face. RIP.
What a lovely man and a brilliant actor. Steven Spielberg decribed him as "the best actor in the world." I totally agree with that statement. I liked him in the Sharpe series. He even comes from my own town of Warrington. RIP.
