I wasn't able to see RCM Tour last 2008 but I was there during The Big Thing Tour back in '89. It was a big party, even though Andy and Roger were not present, we Durannies came in full force to see Duran Duran and me drooled over Nick Rhodes. I regret not to see RCM because Roger was there but I hope they come back in Manila. Long live Duran Duran, my very first only favorite musical band since '83 and counting on the years...
whenever a pinoy band does their own take on any new wave song is like hearing the lupang hinirang being murdered, worst para bang pinanganak ka sa mundo na nanay mo si marlene aguilar or everybody says ang popogi ng mga ampatuan
I was still living in the Philippines when Duran Duran first performed at the Araneta in February 1989. I even saw Kris Aquino (who was still a sweet teenager at that time) and Randy Santiago there. The band did not sing "New Moon on Monday." The encore was the song "Reflex."
i was there at the Big Dome 21 years ago for the "BIG THING" tour (w/o Roger - it was Af-Am Sterling Campbell on drums, who did a 'metallic gigolo' solo on 'all she wants' while the drum machine was on; Missing Person Cuccurullo on guitars!). can't forget Simon doing a tongue-in-cheek "People Power" chant in a yellow "METRO AIDE" shirt (how ironic)! best part was the 2 back-up vocal babes the oglers enjoyed from the back view of the stage (no pun intended)...
wattsjoyce, i hope you dont mind but as far as i can remember 'tempted' is not included but they played 'white lines' and if in not mistaken they didnt play 'union of the snake', too.
