  • very nice fight scene in the back of the truck. very dangerous. how wus that scene shot. 30 or 40 miles an hour or more cud b dangerous speads especially for you actors fighting in the bed of the truck. but u guys pulled it off nicely. wen i tried it a few years ago i lost a camra and one of my actors fell out the truck. he was ok tho. ig it wus prtty cool that the actor wus my little brother.lol

  • @jake2shy19 Wow, be careful. Check out our tutorial on car chases.

  • what camera and lens did you use for this?

  • @wolf22 This episode was shot with a Canon HG10

  • Is the Doctor at the start the same guy from Nuka Break part 2 with the top hat?!

  • @Argumentitive yeah thats the same guy!

  • @Argumentitive Yes.

  • Hey man this is a very important question that will be very helpful for me, 1. what camera did you use? and 2. What program's did you use for the westhavenbrook logo and titles?

  • fuck-used at 2:41 seconds

  • @CRAZYtIeRg11 Ha. That was Doug's idea

  • this was freaking awsome! now to watch the rest :)

  • @MegaCharlieUnicorn Enjoy! I hope you dig them.

  • 2:36 IT'S DOCTOR WHO!

  • What cameras did you guys use?

  • @MrNitroG3 This episode was shot with a Canon HG10

  • @MrNitroG3 This episode was shot with a Canon HG10

  • 3:30 DAVID TENNANT?!!?!?!

  • At about 4:00 minutes in is that Rhett of "Rhett and Link"? It looks like his facial structure and eyes.

  • hahaha @ 4:30 that is HILARIOUS!!! xD

  • Doug Jones! Star quality, terrible accent and a laugh throughout. Very nice work guys.

  • this is the best in the series so far (my opinion)

  • @guitardude920 What do you like about this one?

  • @Battlejitni The Car chase is my fav part along with the fights

  • oh doug jones your ability to play a sneaky French man never ceases to amaze me.

  • NINJA GUN STAR!

  • @shmellhole123 This was before ninjas figured out they could just aim the gun at someone.

  • @Battlejitni ahh yes, the good old days

  • amazing the scenes

  • the car chase eminds a bit of raiders of the lost ark... nice

  • @agentkapser Thanks a lot. That is a huge compliment.

  • wow looks so dangerous nice job

  • @comicreaper I am glad you appreciate it. It was hard work.

  • OMFG it's DOUG JONES!!! I love DOUG JONES!!!

  • @CooeeGraphix So do I!

  • @Battlejitni He is a boss. Pans Labyrinth is my favourite movie.

  • I love this episode but, I think with higher lighting the definition of your episode would be raised even thought I see that it is a low budget and it helps some parts. This was just intended as constructive criticism also I don't know if it was intended but nice touch to the room with the satanic bible (upside down cross )

  • That man is a NINJA

  • @cookingwithblood Which one?

  • @Battlejitni the main guy! the guy with goggles. battle jitni is actually his name right?

  • What did you guys use for the bone breaking sound effects?

  • @angryagain3992 Most of them were just me crushing water bottles mixed with some recordings of myself clapping.

  • i've noticed that there is a tad bit of motion blur during the action scenes. What you could do if you can afford to do it is increase the FPS on the camera so that it catches more of the movement and doesn't create so much motion blur.

  • @kornluv3r1 They did the motion blur on purpose so you couldn't tell the car wasn't moving. Of course you know your stuff.

  • @MKLEEGEDUDE I said action scenes, not car chases, if i meant car chases i would have said car chases. But what i said was action scenes, as in those parts that everyone raves about, the fighting scenes that are "better than the a-list producers", don't get me wrong they were great but during the filming of the action scenes its not that hard to change the FPS on a good quality camera from the default up to say 30 or 40 FPS to eliminate some of the motion blur. just something to consider.

  • Excellent. Some of the fighting choreography is actually better than in most action movies. Very cool and slick moves. Although the bone cracking sound is a bit off for me. Otherwise it's very good, very cinema like.

  • Dude, you just bought yourself a new fan let alone sub. This was absolutely, astoundingly, face meltingly incredible! Probably the best thing I've ever seen on youtube. Truly amazing!

  • @NitoriKun I'm glad to have you as a fan! Check out the rest of the episodes if you haven't yet.

  • how did you get doug jones

  • @Ozbaturdek He actually asked me if he could work with me.

  • 15 people got whacked with a pistol

  • What Camera Do you use?

  • @14NinjaMan This episode was shot with a canon HG10.

  • wat car was that ??

  • @13andygreen Its a 1935 Auburn Speedster.

  • @Battlejitni thanks

  • those fight scenes were incredible! i thoroughly enjoyed watching the hell out of this episode

  • @RandomFLIXman I hope you enjoy watching the hell out of the other episodes too! I can appreciate a person who doesn't just watch stuff, but watches the HELL out of it! Thank you!

  • I really liked the action,i didn't really like the lighting and the colour of the thing as a whole. The sound was pretty beast, some of the acting was a little off but i thought the thing over all was great. Also sweet car

  • That was without a doubt just flat out awesome :)

  • @Bornandbledfilms YOU are flat out awesome... Without a doubt

  • @Battlejitni Aww Shucks

  • nice

  • oh my that's a fancy intro!

  • 4:08 FORKLIFT! Are you going to go racing, Ryo?

  • 8:45 Om nom nom! A 1936 Auburn Speedter! I love it!

  • @AssamiteShadow Its a '35. But I love it too.

  • @ shadowjazzy i think its meant to be more Dieselpunky but the modern equipment kinda kills the theme.

  • @HBThorburn The setting is present day.

  • John, as I have always said, this is pure epicness, awesomeness :D

  • Air Walk = Bad Ass

  • The steampunk elements alone have me hooked. Fantastic first episode.

  • My fellow Indy-Moguler, you are made of win!

  • wow! amazing choreography!! Well done!

  • one of the dudes u fight looks like Sweets from Bones!

  • Is that Kate doing the voice of the car???

  • @intim8er Yes. She also made the costume for Enki, who appears in part 2 and later episodes.

  • Gorgeous camera work!

  • This is probably the best short film I've ever had the pleasure of viewing anywhere online. Thank you VERY much for creating this. The acting, camera work, editing, contrast, colors, music, fight scenes, chase scenes, etc... All amazing. I really loved the chase scene towards the end! Again. thanks so much for creating this; you are amazing.

  • @crappyfilmproduction Thank you

  • @Battlejitni I could easily see you guys getting this on the Sci-fi network.

    Nicely done!

  • so is the mad scientist French or German.......

  • @twitchwillkillyou From what I can tell he mixes his English with French, but he does seem to have a bit of a German accent...

    It's more likely he's French...

  • @Maylett91 no doubt he's french. the way he says "application", typically french accent ; )

  • Awesome film.

    Love that roadster.

    I want it.

  • I watched Sockbaby a century ago because it went viral... dunno why it took me so long to hear about this series. So far I'm really into it. Hey, Doug Jones! And fighting in the back of a pickup truck? NEVER seen that trick before!

  • OH MY GOD, THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO EVER

  • amazing fight scenes, that really looked painful and realistic. I'm glad for once someone didnt have the burning desire to destroy such a beautiful car :)

  • swiftykaratechop favourited this video <3

  • TL;DW.

  • This is so fun :D it's like the real life xiao xiao stick fight

  • The two guys in the beginning look like they came straight from Borderlands.

  • Nice two-fisted tale, very enjoyable :)

  • lol, that was great. but everything that wasn't fighting was average. and at some points the acting made me laugh. but the fight sequences were ace.

  • Wow, great work on the action sequences. The fight choreography was very well done, as was the chase scene. I loved the homage to Indiana Jones in the car sequence. Keep up the great work!

  • "What? OH NO@!@!" Truck guy made my day. XD he had just the right amount of camp for this. I'll miss him. :(

  • I wonder what was your budget, and how long does it take to do all process from beginning to end it is really cool

  • LOVE U DOUG!!!

  • i like the man with the British accent and the gas mask man

  • Doug Jones is great! This is awesome!

  • OMG! A Thought Riot shirt! Sweeeet!

  • Comment removed

  • @marcikay The guy that is wearing it is their drummer. He also plays the guy fighting me in the back of the truck.

  • Who did Doug Jones'd make up, in fact who did all your make desgin?

  • @cartoonkeith1 He did his own make up. I don't think anyone else had any make up work accept for like Cody who just had some really weird sort of Ultimate Warrior thing going on.

  • @Battlejitni Awesome movie guys. I can tell somebody's been watching Tony Jaa movies ;)

  • Holy continuity batman!! when Jitni is being dragged, there are holes in the knees of his pants, that are miraculously fix when he's in the truck.

okay so I understand why it happened, and that it's not a big deal, but I just notice things like that, and thought it was amusing. :)

  • how did you do the title?

  • That was F**king amazing. It's really hard to find top quality videos on the internet, but when one comes along; embrace the professionalism in filmmaking. Thank you John.

  • I meant effing life

  • This is quite possibly the best home-made film I've ever seen in my entire edging life

  • This is really awesome, better than a lot of films I've seen on the TV! :D

  • Who is this "Seargent Kato" person? She seems to have quite a lovely voice.

  • @SampsonsAxe

She does costume work on the series too.

    STEAMPUNKCOUTURE dot COMM

  • @Battlejitni Yeah, I was being half sarcastic. The first half to be specific. I'm actually thinking of having her make a Toy Soldier uniform for me, in exchange for little green slips of paper, of course. At any rate I rather hope that your money problems go away. I could probably kill your money problems if you'ld like. But then again, murder's wrong, plus I could just send you money. It sucks that I don't have a paypal account, otherwise I would have already contributed.

  • Doug fucking Jones?!

    HELL YEAH!

  • This was very well done, the fighting scenes were awesome. I am told this is an example of "dieselpunk" (a sort of spin off of steam punk) if so I liked it and hope to see you at a DP convention some day. My only complain is all the cars and trucks should have looked a bit more anachronistic, but i understand you do not have an unlimited budget!

  • @jonwayneisgod

    Thank you very much.

The reasons the cars are the way they are is because the series actually takes place in the modern day real world. You'll start to learn a little in episode 3 about why Battle J's car is unique.

  • this video really deserves more views. it kicks ass man, its on the level of a jackie chan film.

  • Bravo! You got it down man. I like the fighting the action, the acting everything! Great job!

  • Definately heard some sound clips when the car is moving from when Sukashi get's his laser sword from the sand dollar planet Haha :)

  • dude is tht a real aubrn boat tail speedster or is it a replica and nice vid

  • dude is tht a real aubrn boat tail speedster or is it a replica

  • i didnt like the camera work.

  • Ben Page's acting was pretty horrible but other than that the movie was great. Fighting was well choreographed and believable, and although we don't know much about the main character he seems relatable.

  • O_O... so kool goggle guy is awesome he pwns

  • Hworang in the house

  • very fun video, awful french accent and I can't help what part of the phoenix is "rising" but very entertaining.

The car scene was great, especially when he was dragged along behind the truck

  • did you take any fighting lessons?

    \

  • @lbscuz102 Nope. Just been making watching and making action flicks for almost 10 years. Lots of practice.

  • Hey the guy who played Abe Sapian

  • Dude, that was awesome, I want the next part :D

  • I love this, I wish it was getting more attention, virality anyone? They should color correct it though, not just standard teal and orange something more personal

  • I love this, I wish it was gettinn attentionYou should really color

  • should have been more blood-after that
