I love your tutorial. Can you kindly tell me if it is better to stagger the 2 wefts on top of each other? I had heard that , that is the way to avoid bulk. Thank you for any help you can provide.
I just found this after making the first large piece. I had no problem sewing two pieces together right through the seam area (weft?). If you can blind-stitch, it's easy. Guess I'm too OCD to do it like this. I actually sewed the top of the seam on the second piece to the BOTTOM of the seam on the first to keep it from being too thin.
how do you sew the wefts together without becoming too bulky?....What i mean by this is.....the hair on each weft is not very thick...So, i thought of sewing the two wefts together as shown here. Only problem is, sewing the two wefts together tends to make the track on the weft way too thick and it ends up showing up under my hair....Help??
What about using Velcro tape instead? Just cut to side, that way the clips can be removed from one set to another if need be. No sewing, just pull from one set to another?? Has anyone done this? ... I hate sewing! lol!
@rainslave if you're talking about using velco to attach the clips, i guess you could attempt it but if you are wearing the extensions and they get snagged on something a velco would probably come off a lot more easily then one that is sew on.
i think sewing through tha track is better than sewing around it. if u sew around it , itll come off and then everyone 'll see tha weave er w/e ur using .
i wished i could make my own hair,estensions....I haved my hair almost to my knees and I cut and still keep the tail and I would like to transform in extensions but I do not know how? advice something?
There are several vids on youtube showing you different ways. You can just sew it in a sewing machine or you can tie them. Just look up "how to make weft hair"
Great and informative video. I really learned a lot about making my own clip-on/in extensions. Its a lot more cost effective to make your own (if you have the ability/time) than to buy them already made in some instances. Thanks for the vid!
It's the best tutorial in you tube about how to make clip in hair extensions! I really learned! But I have a question: I already bought my weft, but I don't know how many "tracks" of hair should I get from it. What do you recommend me? Should I cut 3 large ones and 2 small ones? How many inches? Please help me.
@MeLiSsSsA83 Another video I watched said to measure your head where you want to put the extensions, and cut the weft according to that measurement. Hope that helps.....

Great Work Naked hair dresser.
Do you have any advice on how to minimize weave threading. (Where the hair keeps on pulling out of the weave over time)
Have a lovely weekend ~Sophie from Africa~
