This song was written by Queen Salote Tupou III for her younger sister Princess 'Elisiva Fusipala 'Tauki'onetuku in regards to her final engagement before her sudden death. She was courting Ratu George Naulivou, younger brother of the Vunivalu of Bau. When he heard of her death he went swiftly to attend her funeral, quite a feat at that time. Hence the title of the song, 'Ikale 'Oma 'O Pau, or in other words, Swift Eagle of Bau. Queen Salote wrote this when Ratu Nailivou was returning home.
