  • i want to kick the narrator in the balls

  • oh so scary...not. wanna see a crash? check out Aussie Jim Read's top fuel dragster crash at Willowbank 1990.

  • Comment removed

  • Watching this, one can clearly understand why Al Hoffman died a few years later: Hoffmann probably spent days washing his crap off of his pant when he also witnessed "Elvis @ a thousand feet" when that "nitro grenade" exploded in front of him like that!!!...

  • @grumpypant WHAT?????

  • I remember when the body bursted off of Tony Pedrogon's car at the Gatornationals, he was ok but some stupid person next to me in the bleachers was having a panic attack thinking that he was for sure dead!

  • Geez it's sad when the commentator knows Jack Shit about what' he's talking about.

    Nitro Methane Jet fuel ?

    The Chassis explodes ??

His team would not have expected John to have died, as top fuel Funny car crashes go this was pretty average engine fire and the sand trap worked a treat.

Not saying impacting the wall and all the heat and fumes would be pleasant not to mention totaling the car but man cause people see he cars body shell fly off they think Holy shit that's really bad.

  • @Quontomleeeep That was a pretty bad crash... you would have shit yourself in that car and it could have been pretty dangerous. It stuck in John Force's mind for over a year. Uless anyone here has experienced a crash like this in a car like that then you can talk, and you cant prove that on youtube

  • @68SSCAM Yer I kinda said it wouldn't have been pleasant , and impacting the wall in those cars is always nasty ,at any speed, my main point was the narrators lack of knowledge that pissed me off .

As far as FUEL car crashes go it was an average engine detonation and the fact he guy was out of the car at the end certainly shaken up but out under his own steam confirms that .

I agree it's easy to speculate and anyone would S#*T themselves in those claustrophobic things , especially me!!

  • @68SSCAM one thing i have to say....... Yes that was a bad crash! and Yes the commentator is a dumb fuck! The first thing i heard him say is that john force was in a mustang???? he didn't drive a mustang till 98'!!!! this was in the Oldsmobile years (early 90s). Nitromethane is Not jet fuel.... jet fuel is almost like kerosene... and at last.... no one is contesting that it was a bad wreak! i think we can see that! I no longer will watch Spike TV, simply because they are dumb fucks!

  • I prefer the analysis from the late Steve Evans, thank you very much.

  • Be good if the commentator knew just a little bit about Drag racing , "Using Nitro methane jet fuel" ? The chassis disintegrates ?

  • The media has'nt a clue in regard to facts! The average race fan has'nt a clue either. John Force is legendary. The media does'nt know that!. The media is a joke. Ever watch the 6;00 news? Laughable, pathetic, nonsense much of the time!!.

  • I think this is one of those lame "World's Most Amazing Videos" episodes where they overdramatize everything.

  • This man has been though a lot. Keep the shiny side up John.He really puts on a show though every run. I just seen his outfit on the freeway yesterday In Spokane area on the way to Seattle. Go get 'em John and Ashley. Be quick and safe.

  • @grumpypant go to hell

  • He sure have had some pretty bad crashes.but he is one of the best driver out there !

  • He seen Elvis at 300ft

  • I sure hope someone like Ron Capp or Tim Wilkenson comes along and reigns the FC champion for the next five years or so...No Hight, Force, Nepp, nor any of those oily teams!!!

  • @grumpypant, good luck, forces team is on a mission this year, especially his car

  • @grumpypant Hey siskel, the names are Capps, Wilkerson, and Neff!!! If you dont know... dont be a critic. Armchair quarterbacks kill me...

  • @grumpypant OOOPs, I almost forgot Bob Tasca III. . . Might as well be a force team. Sit back, strap in,and enjoy the driving FORCE.

  • "I SAW ELVIS AT A THOUSAND FEET!!!"

    -- John Force

  • Did anybody else notice the brand new Z34 Lumina at 0:33? Pretty cool!

  • ahh let's see i found about 7 things he said wrong

    1. not a "national" fc semifinal

    2. not a dragster

    3. not yet reached 7000hp

    4. not a mustang (oldsmobile cutlass)

    5. doesn't burn jet fuel

    6. funny cars haven't reached 300mph yet

    7. that's kb's crew

  • in fact only kenny bernstein reached 300mph only 3 times in 1992, gainesville, englishtown, and indy

  • @nhrafanomina28 actually, Force holds the national -should it be WORLD?- ET record [4.665 seconds] as well as the highest/fastest speed ever recorded in the series [333.58 mph], according to the NHRA itself

  • @ma55aracin9 Well, if you are talking about the old 1/4 mile records (I can't believe I have to say "old"), John Force held neither of them. I am pretty sure Tony Pedregon went 4.64 and Jack Beckman went 334MPH, both were the national records.

  • @ma55aracin9 not since going 1000ft. racing almost 3 years ago. Hagan's 3.995 and Beckman's 318.99 are the current national records.

  • Is he still holding on to that oil filter?

  • I just got back from a HRNA drag race in VA, yesterday. His daughter Ashley almost wrecked her car into the Wall D:

  • i watched him crash once and his car was all totalled, he's all jacked up.. asks "did I win?" as they help him out of the wreckage. he's hard core.

  • just listen at :28 seconds into

  • haha does he anybody here the commenator on that show saying that Johns car is a mustang? its funny becuz thats a oldsmobile lol

  • definitely an Olds.

  • I was at this race, when they drove by the grandstands he and his car was on a rollback and his fire suit was so black all you could see was Johns white teeth as he smiled and waved to the crowd. He is a NHRA Legend.

  • FORCE! FORCE! FORCE! FORCE!

  • Wow :|

  • i have the 1992 season on video....good video...FORCE IS THE MAN

  • their are so many things that the anouncer said then i am speachless

  • they werent going 300 in 1992...

  • that was wild.

  • that narrators and idiot? john force is strapped inside his ford mustang dragster powered by nitromethane; jet fuel! what a fucking tard hahaha

  • He saw elvis at 1000 feet.

  • i have seen worse

  • Hey, um announcer guy. It's not a dragster and it's not a Mustang.

  • well it's an Oldsmobile Dragcar

  • It's an Oldsmobile funny car.

  • yes exactly if you have to be exact

  • I also thought it was funny how the narrator says, "Its the National Funny Car semi-finals", as if funny cars only race once a year. the narrator this show uses probably does not watch drag racing and the researchers and script writers obviously DID NOT do their job, making the poor unaware narrator sounding like an idiot...

  • John Force = Funny Car. PERIOD!!!!!!

  • ron capps owned him this weekend=)

  • Lol You're right man. Capps has really stepped up this season.

  • were u at gateway??

  • i think its funny how he just picks his hands up at the end like "well this is taking for ever"

    FORCE 4 LIFE

  • nice butt @ 1:04

  • holy f*cking crap he acually got up again

    hes more then lucky!!

you have my nr1 crash vote XD man o man o man gotta se that again and again for the next week

lucky is just a word pffffffffffff

  • Who ever did the commentary for this clip has so many facts wrong it isn't funny .

  • Man, the voice-over guy has almost all of his facts wrong. Nitromethane isn't jet fuel and that's Kenny Bernstien's crew...

  • On these shows they try to make everything sound more dramatic and plus they have no idea what drag racing is really like.

  • lol. and he's not driving a dragster! lol

  • also his funny car back then wasn't a Ford Mustang GT like the current ones; it was a '92 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME,which looks were still reminiscent of those nostalgic floppers from the 70's

  • I have that year in review at my house

  • "John's pit crew rushes to him as he kneels beside...."gets your facts straight before you do a story idiots.

  • i believe this crash was what force said "i saw elvis at 300 mph"

  • I thought it was "I saw elvis at 1000 feet"

  • "I saw Elvis at a thousand feet."

  • Haha. I was hoping some one else would remember that.

  • Holy Shit John Force is the Greatest NHRA Driver Ever

  • wow he was lucky
