So do I. My kid is 24 and I think he will never know what real music is. I think the new generation could never possibly know such a raw and real world of music era that their parents lived. It was the best time to grow up. I cherish it and all the great musicians. Some are not alive now, but they live on in their music. Dylan will be immortal in the world of music, just like the others, Neil Young and it's a long list. I can remember Jimi Hendrix smashing his guitar on stage after performance.

I keep noticing how a lot of people from my generation prefer this music, and we all think we're so alone, but really, we're all together. One day I bet we'll be the ones holding up signs protesting wars, throwing different kinds of music festivals, and trying to get back to simplicity. @Miliana257 yeah I am 23 and thankfully my dad was a huge music fan and when I told him blink 182 was the best band ive heard in 6th grade hes been sure to set me straight since then...I never saw Dylan live though but I wish I did, he was only one man and as famous as the beatles at one time... the only person I can compare bob to is elvis.....but I prefer bob...

@dbcrdnfanatic i'm not trying to argue, but i have to disagree. there are many people who know true music...but it's the fact that not very many people can play and write true music anymore...they depend too much upon technological short-cuts...just my opinion. i play guitar and i love good music and have many friends who are just as young as me. but i just don't have the songwriter part in my. i love recreating and covering good music...but i've tried and i know i could never write with dylan

@RockandRoll51188 I love Bob and Elvis and they were very different but they are the two greatest of all time for sure. Bob writes better than the Beatles ever did and Elvis was a better performer and singer than Paul or John.

On a side note: you can still see Bob play,you should see him because he is in a new prime.

@RockandRoll51188 I couldn't agree more English is my 3 rd language but I was kind of obliged to learn it properly and the main reason was to be able to understand Bob...and I do because he's been with me for the past 20 years and I had the greatest chance to see him live in London May 2002 it was an overdose of happiness mixed with intellectual feeling and charismatic existence...Bob is by far the most executive living user of the English language...I just adore his music..!!
