Thank you sooooo much for posting this on you tube i have a lab practical tomorrow and this is the ONLY video i was able to follow along with my notes !!! Im going to watch this 10 more times to see if it sticks!!!!!! :)
This video was really good. Constructive criticism: 1.)The apex, in my opinion, should go more to the left, because once you start actual dissection sometimes you won't always be able to tell which is left and right until you cut it open and the the interventricular septum is revealed. Unless the students are well trained in finding the posterior and anterior interventricular sulcus..2.) More es\asy to use red and blue markers, in video red was used for the deoxygenated blood.
The atria let blood pass through and kick part of the remaining amount into the ventricle during the atrial kick just prior to ventricular contraction. The AV valves are always open EXCEPT for when the ventricles contract -- when the a-v- valves shut and those valves are held in place (preventing them from flopping backwards) by the chordae tendineae+papillary muscles.
@NutritionChiroDoc I teach first responder and EMTs and was looking for new ideas to assist the students in learning the material and your instruction is great. Thanks very much for taking time in doing this video for us to enjoy.
I have my AS bio re-sit on the 11th of jan. It's 5.43am and your video explained to me in 8 mins what my 'teacher' couldn't explain decently for 2 years. THANK YOU.
I absolutely love your videos. They are very clear and easy to understand. I like using you to get a good idea on what is happing in the body before our A&P class starts a new chapter. Can we get a Respiratory video? Hmmm? Thanks for all your help!
