Can we always do this knit-wise, at the beginning or end of a row? Or are there times when it has to be done purl-wise, or "keeping to pattern"? I love your co method, it's daintier than the cable co or the longtail ones I've been using. It's perfect for dolls - I'd just come to where I had to co for the neck on a dress for my teddy bear, and I'm so glad I stopped and looked for your video. This'll look much better than cable co which I was going to use. Thank you!
Ooh, this was very very helpful! I am adding cast on stitches in a mitered project and was a little lost on how to do it neatly. Between this and your slow version of the cast-on, I'm set! thank you!!! All these mitered squares, I would have been a wreck without this help :)
how can you do that is that an invention

@knittingtipsbyjudy I sent you a PM about the project. I think it's going to work out OK, but it's a challenge for me, for sure.

What are you doing with the first and last stich of each row? It kinda looks like you knit/purl them differently than the rest of the row.
Thank you for all the help.

I always slip the first stitch and knit the last stitch backwards which makes a neater selvage.
