we do have honey bees in AK, but they're in the southern regions. You must be in lower AK if your bumbles are so small, up in the tanana valley they are massive!

Not an expert but there are many beekeepers up here and bees are all over the place. They get their queens from outside I understand.

I'm sure you are correct but the bees you show do not look like honey bees, they look like native bumble bees
