@fooboo13 Usually i have a GPS unit on the ground and one attached to the contraption, and subtract accordingly. It's not too hard to hardwire but i mostly use Expression2 nowadays.

What people aren't getting here is with big contraptions like this, using anything else causes too many impulse errors in the rig, and the whole damn thing flies apart or glitches. Yes, I know, hoverballs are kludgy and should be avoided - but in a contraption made of 100+ props they are usually a must.

This is very well designed, but I think it would have been better with an advanced gyro. Hoverballs are very jumpy when moving up/down. Also, an advanced pod controller would probably make it easier to control.

Much appreciated - I have worked on an escape pod prototype but i really need to rebuild this thing. i have one escape pod idea but i haven't applied it- i've been working on other ideas and have neglected the bomber, it seems.

@mogstah well you could make an escape pod without a total rebuild. If you cut a 2X2 hole in the roof, you could use wire adv. pod controller to make spacebar activate wire thrusters in the bottom (toggle on) to jettison you out. For added fun you can make the effect smoke, and put an openable hatch with ballsockets so that when u thrust, it blows open the hatch.

Kinda cool, but hoverballs ruin the whole thing for me. I once built a really big plane, using the fin STOOL to keep it in the sky. It was a real floater, that one. The wings were 5 4X16 PHX plates welded together IIRC.

Yet another person bitching about the hoverballs- Look, you fucks, I used hoverballs for STABILITY. This isn't supposed to zip around like a plane, merely stay above the map. If you use vector thrusters, you get a lurching effect- and with Fin / Wings, you still have to apply impulse to it to keep it afloat, which jumbles larger rigs with a lot of pieces.

SO PLEASE, You failed abortions, Shut the fuck up about the hoverballs. I don't care how you would have done it- Shove it up your ass.
